easiest way to put it.....would you ever have a kid and not name him/her? because once you pick up your new MINI, you cant help but treat it as your child....it's too neat and it will mean to much to you NOT to respect it enough to call him/her by their name..and obviously if you are on NAM, then you care a lot but give it time, the name will come to yah

I couldn't help but name Ambrosia! It's fun and it felt natural to name something I spend so much time with and money on. Plus I get a kick out of referring to my car by name and when other people call her by her name too. Silly, probably but so what?! It's part of the fun and charm of owning a MINI.

I dont normally name my vehicles, but the MINI got a name simply because everyone else seemed to be naming theirs when I bought mine, so it acquired the name "Earl Grey". Past vehicles I had/have had unofficial names. A 69 Dodge Dart was named "D'artagnan", a Dodge Ram named "Big Red", a Stratus called "The Strat", a POS Chevy LUV I called "Hate" (or "HAT" ). My '07 Chevy Silverado has yet to acquire a name.

Maybe...
I named by old MB 420SEL "Grey Ghost" - it was silver, and the name came to me one day while driving and it stuck. Made sense too, as I imagined myself "floating down the highway"...
Since my Clubman will be LB, I'll probably name it something that ties into the color - "Bluebeard" or something!
We'll see...

Ah! To name or not to name. That is the first question. And the second is like unto it. What should I name her.
If I were absolutely honest, mine has two names because I cannot choose between the two. Tamzin because it's a very popular girl's name in Britain that I just really like. And Tazmin because it's almost like Tamzin, but with "min" in the name.
