Drivers Side Window Streaking...

My Drivers side window on the inside is streaking the whole length of the window form top to bottom.

I open my drivers side window daily to get into/out a parking garage and I notice on the inside of the window towards the rear and front sections its wet and dirty once it gets rolled up a wet streak from top to bottom

I dont know if precipitation and salt (from recent snow) got into the window when it was rolled down..... How do I fix this? Its been like this for almost 2 weeks and has not dried out....prob bc I keep the window rolled up.

Should I roll my window down and use a hair dryer to try and dry it or is this wetness more down inside the door....I dont know if there are any more felt strips inside the door o just on the top.

The innter felt strip (below in first photo) is what I think is causing the problem....any suggestions? Maybe if it dosent fix it take it to MINI and have them replace it?

Thanks for your help...

Ditto. Looks to be a design flaw. I understand it happening on the outside of the glass after a rain or car wash, but it shouldn't happen on the inside.

Your window is streaking? It had better get its clothes back on before it gets arrested

California and Arizona potholes?!?!?!? You guys crack me up. Come to Kansas City sometime. You could lose an entire Mini in some our our potholes. I bet the northern guys would even be laughing at me. They lose Hummers in their potholes.

the best cure for a screaky window is a bit of wd40 to lube it up. what i do is spray a bit into a paper towel and (with the window down) wipe the sides. The window journals inside the door can be lubed with access that is powered down using the window. good to go

Our windows don't screak, they leak on the inside edge of the door somehow so that when you roll the window down after rain/snow/carwash it leaves a streak on the inside. Outside is expected, but not on the inside.

I know this is for model year '07; however, I have a friend
with an '06 that had the same problem on driver's side
window. Still under warranty, she went to the dealer earlier this year
and had it repaired. No problem since. But, now her passenger
side window is doing the same thing. She'll be returning to the
dealer soon. Hope this helps. Sorry, can't recall what the dealer
said the problem was.

Update: I took a hair dryer and with the window rolled down I dried the inside felt trim piece and its cured the problem, so far. I think it got wet on the inner most felt strip on the inside of the window from snow etc. and it didnt dry because its been so cold and damp. In the summer it does this but allways dried.
