Depends on the dealer, what their allocation is, and how many people are already on the list in front of you with an order. From the time the factory receives the order it's about 4 weeks. When the R53 first came out back in 2002, there were some huge wait times, like 6 months. 6 weeks is childs play nowadays.

Being on the west coast adds about 2 weeks of travel time during shipping too, since it has to go through the Panama Canal.

Where you are seems to make a big difference, people on the east coast seem to have shorter (or none) waiting lists to get on the order queue plus much shorter delivery times... see my sig for the status on our order.

btw, anyone know how I can find out which ship my mini's on with the sail date (Dec.17th) and my VIN, should be heading for the California VDC. There ought to be a sticky/faq on how to track them.

Your sales person will have more current answers then the 1-866-ask-mini support folks.

Ask and you shall receive!

Just kidding, can't take credit for this myself. It was created in June of 2006 and I just purchased my MINI in September of this year. Took exactly 4 weeks from ordering to delivery day. Love being in the NE.

You can find a lot of other useful information in that same forum, 1st Gear. Best of luck on receiving your MINI! Waiting truly is the hardest part, trust me I know.

Delivery times really vary. My experience was an almost month wait just to get the production number due to the dealership waiting for their allocation. And at the end of it, I had another 2-3 week wait while a scratch was repaired at the port. Ended up being 109 days total. It was worth the entire wait! This car is so much fun to own!

Ha! excellent bit of info there, no luck on any tracking data for Madame Butterfly, but our mini's 1 of 373 headed for the VDC in California

SOUTHAMPTON UNITED KINGDOM 16/12/2007 17/12/2007 HALIFAX, NS CANADA 24/12/2007 24/12/2007 MANZANILLO PANAMA 30/12/2007 30/12/2007 PORT HUENEME, CA U.S.A. 07/01/2008 08/01/2008
so 22 days by boat from the UK for us west coasters, a few days at the VDC, and off to the dealers ...

I've been after a mini since highschool (and that was back in the classic days), so what's a few more ?

My MA said it would take 5 weeks but it actually took 9 and I live just outside of Philly. Btw, for some odd reason it took 9 days to get to my MA after it landed in jersey which made no sense to me ....had me wondering.

I think it is called MINItime.

It does vary by the coast and the options you have on your order. If you have items to be put on at the VDC, this adds time, if you have dealer installed items this adds time, too.

The east coast folks get a good deal, no extra ship time, if you have a west coast delivery, it really can become a long time 6-10 weeks.

Mine was not bad from order to delivery, I did not have a lot of extras on the MINI and I did get a good order slot from the dealer.

See the sig.

Mine took right around 7 weeks, but there are WAY too many variables for anyone to give you an accurate estimate.

All you need to know is that it is SOOOOOOOOOO worth the wait!!!
