Hey i just picked up my new 07 MINI the other week and i am curious to know why i see very few Astro Black owners showing photos of there rides. Any owners want to show what they've got?

Here is a link to my gallery on MichiganMini. Yes, it is a pain to keep clean in the winter for sure. For the past 10 days or so, had no weather above freezing so I can not wash and I refuse to go through automatics.

Has anyone inspected their astro black paint under f[SIZE=3][FONT=Calibri]luorescent [/FONT][/SIZE]light? Mine is filled with swirl marks. You can not see really in the sun. I have the proper stuff from Griots garage to buff out but I have a lot of the 3M stone guard applied (front, bumper and rocker panels). So that obviously means I can only buff out uncoated places, which is not a whole lot. Oh well, I would rather have swirl marks than rock chips any day.

 

Ya mine has a bunch of dealer induced swirls and scratches that are hard to get out but it is hard to see them unless in the right light.

Would rather maintain AB than think another color hides dirt and not have to keep my MINI clean. Its fun and I get to check out the exterior to make sure nothing bad is brewing.
