Home with my new MCS

Finally picked up my week 34 MCSa. Sold my E46 coupe last week and drove up to the dealer on Wed (160 miles away) with my wife for the delivery. Raining cats and dogs on delivery day! I went through a detailed once-over and pronounced "Duce" fit for delivery. Got a bag full of detailing goodies (shampoo, wax, wheel cleaner, etc) and then went to the finance office to write the check. In there I got the hard sell for door ding, wheel repair, other add on warranties-no thanks to that. Hopped in and motored away- in a friggin deluge of rain (careful of that standing water-LOL). Back to the hotel and underground parking. Then came the expensive part. The wife wanted to go shopping... Add another $1000 to that Mini price, thank you! (good thing I got below mrsp with front. rear. boot mats, and the usual $297 "administrative fee" (read ADP) waived).

The drive back home was the next day was in better weather. Quite a different drive from my 323Ci. Not quite as smooth thanks to run flats and shorter wheel base. Very responsive with quick feet! Hifi sounded as good and perhaps better than the oem alpine in the BMW. I am looking forward to getting better acquainted over the next weeks and adding a few items: gauge package, after market XM, perhaps the DMM race intake, etc. All in all, I am very happy with the purchase.

Great looking MINI. Here's to hoping that "Duce" will satisfy your driving needs as well as the 323Ci.
