My xenon lights

I still cant see if my headlights self adjust or not, when i turn on the lights all i see is the blue fade to white, it doesnt move or anything. Anyone got a video of how its supposed to wink/move when you turn them on?

My headlights dont move up and down, all it does it powers on then fades from blue to white, should i ask the local dealer about this? Is it really obvious where it moves up and down? Im getting frustrated about this car, it'll be 1 month old on the 16th and it'll be in the for the 2nd time. Can anyone make a youtube video on the how it should look? Or know a site where it shows how it looks?

ok, so i just went outside to see if it moves in any way, and again it just turns on and doesn't move, does the projector move? Or is it the actual bulb in the projector? All xenons should have that right? Is there something I have to program with the button on the turn signal?

Sure you have HID's? Also I think the head light level when the car first turns on. So if you start the car then turn on the lights you would not see them level. I have mine on auto on so I see them move if its dark enough. And its the projector housing that moves.

If the car is already level then I notice they tend not to move that much.

Mine don't do it on every headlamp turn on. But when they do it, you'll notice if your paying attention.

Same with my R53. I don't think they do them on every activation.

Mine move up and down every time on every engine start. Set it with automatic "ON" and try it when it is dark and close to a wall. You should be able to see it.

I have my lights set up as daytime running lights. They come on and adjust as soon as I start the car. Before I set up the lights that way I never noticed them adjust as they did so before I turned the lights on.

Yea my headlights are not "ON" auto, so ill try that when i get home and hopefully that fixes the problem, but my local dealer stated that it is supposed to adjust and if that doesnt work i can bring it in, but for everyone that states their headlights auto adjust, are you guys having it set to auto on? And how many of you have yours auto adjust and is not set to auto on?

I dont have auto on or DRL, and they adjust when I turn them on after starting the engine.
Edit: woops I mean when I turn them on before starting the engine. I forget my routine sometimes.

Just checked mine. If I turn them off, start the car, and turn them on (either just on, or auto) they do not go down/up. If I turn them on (or auto) and then start the car they go down/up once.

Thanks guys, i do have to leave the lights on or auto to have them go up and down, i wonder why it doesnt work when its off, you start the car, and then turn on the lights.

The headlights have to be in the "ON" position BEFORE starting the car if you turn on the headlights after the car is started you WILL not physically see them go up and down. ( b/c light isnt reflecting on the wall to see it) But everytime you start the car, no matter if headlights are on or off, they still move just gotta have the lights on to physically see it.

Have a friend/someone start the car and look at the headlight, itll move if the lights are on or off.

Just out of curiousity, why the big concern? Are other drivers flashing you because you're blinding them?

I, too, started my car tonight with the headlights on and saw the up and down motion of the light.
