Congrats on delivery, you have a great Mini, enjoy the trip home.
The break in Mini advises is to keep it under 4,500 RPMS, under 90 to 100 MPH for the first 1,400 miles. Basically you don't want to jump on a freeway, set the cruise control and dive for 6 hours, you want to very the speed and rpms.

Congratulations. I can still remember the feeling the day I was going to pick up my baby... well it was only 2.5 weeks ago, but I think I'll remember it for a very long time.

Have a blast! Have fun bonding!

Congratulations, I like the specs on your MINI and the color combination. Pictures would be great to see. From you post, your excited. Did you get your best deal at MOA or is it the closest dealer to you?

Good flight and safe drive back, it will be fun. For those first 1200 miles that 4500 rpm is hard to obey. With your automatic watch the sport button when your in normal automatic mode, it will pop your RPMs up higher.

Just curious

Any reason you chose not to deal with Tom Bush MINI right there in Jacksonville? They have been good to me the last 3 yrs. Nick

Nice choice! AB/W was my second choice, but I opted for the classic CR/W, which was what first drew my attention to the Mini.

OK I'm going to post the photos on my website... they're the photos that were taken at the dealership, which were sent to me Thursday morning, apparently.

Umm.... I don't deal with Tom Bush VW/Mazda/MINI/BMW for a few reasons, mostly cause I've purchased 2 BMWs there, and have had horrible experiences with their service departments. And I refuse to ever go back. I'm happy that you've had good luck tho.

Thanks for the tips on break in... I was receiving many replies on my iPhone on the way home. But was so busy having fun driving, I couldn't get on the phone and reply. My apologies :(

As far as MINI of South Atlanta is concerned, they're dealership is inside of a BMW dealership. Unique from the dealerships I've seen... which are all separate buildings, most not near a BMW dealership.

Their showroom as amazing. Incredible craftsman ship and details, I felt like I was inside of a MINI or MINI factory when I was inside the dealership.

I arrived, they had my MINI read to be test drove, then cleaned up, we went thru finance, and were out in under 2.5 hours maybe 3....

Antonese was my sales woman, she's very new, but very thorough. My family and I tend to buy a LOT of cars, personally I'm on my 8th since January 1st 2007. And That was the absolute fastest purchase I've ever experienced.

I did find out that it doesn't have the Audio Package, just the HiFi system, which is ok. I'll either get a system from XM and use the AUX IN... or just pay the 800 for sirius... It depends lol

As far as the quality of the HiFi, I'm fairly impressed with it, in conjunction with my iPhone. I haven't used a CD yet. I have noticed clicking noise, and I think it's cause the output on the iPhone was too high... So I set it to about 3/4 high. and I can crank the HiFi system all the way with no distortion. It's not incredibly loud, like the HiFi in the 2007 x5 is ....but for the cars size, it's good I"m pleased....

Also.... I'm running bass reducer EQ on the iPhone, and I have the treble and bass on the radio turned down a little bit So it sounds fine

I chose Mini of South Atlanta because they had the car I wanted, I wouldn't have to order it

Expect an update with photos soon

8 cars since the beginning of this year . I thought I was bad as I am on my third since October of 2006. That doesn't even touch you. How do you keep from losing your shirt every time? Are you in the car business?

Thanks for coming to Atlanta and buying from MOSA --- they do alot to support the local Mini community.

I'll further nudge prospecive buyers to look up Amanda at MOSA for your MA needs. She runs with atlantaminis.net (my wife and I are members) and is a real class act.

7 cars this year? And I thought I was a car-aholic... ...I've had 8 in the past 2.5 years. Your average puts me to shame.
