I lived in the area '79, '80 and '81 and have been back to visit a couple of times. It is hard for me to imagine it under water. Hope they and everyone who is living with weather related troubles get some much needed help.

 

Any reports on the affects of the flood on the Mini factory?

 

I was wondering the same thing. I want to be more worried about the people than the factory but it's hard

 

let's hope for the sake of the factory workers that it is OK!

i can't find any news on the factory -- i even looked at BMW Group news for investors -- if one of their factories was out of commission, their investors would want to know...

let's hope no news is good news??

I found an Oxford flood map...and it looks like a lot of the city is built on a flood plain...the factory looks like it's built higher up, so it's ok. But I'm wondering if they can load onto the docks still?
