I'm afraid the worst is yet to come, my friend! Not to worry...it appears that any sanity you lose will be promptly replaced by euphoria upon delivery, and you'll need room for lots of that!!!

The waiting is the easiest part. Most folks don't even check on the progress of their MINI. Some have to be called by the dealerships two or three times. Must be flusterating to the MAs, having to track down folks when the truck arrives. Geez!

Or something like that!

I agree!! Imagine how much easier we made it on them by camping out on their doorstep for a day or two, keeping watch to make sure the delivery-truck driver found his way to the dealer's designated staging area. We are such a helpful bunch!!!

I beg to differ...my car will be delivered to me at the local insane asylum. Where I will be discharged upon it's arrival. They tell me that I am sick and that my mini is the cure. who knew.

Doctor's prognosis.

"Due to the lack of ownership of a 2007 mini cooper, the patient is suffering from an acute mental and emotional instability resluting in, insomnia, extreme bipolar behavior, fits of delusion, severe whining and just and all aroung pain in the *** (I hope his car arrives soon) I find the patient is unfit to function normally within society, I will expect a full and complete recovery upon arrival of said car"

Remind me to thank my friends for commiting me, besides I am making good friends with lots of soon to be mini owners. At least they have internet at the asylum...

You mean like this...

Been there, done that, and got the pics to prove it from back in Dec. 2006 for my DH's 2007 Shelby Cobra GT500.

Actually we had placed cameras with a few select dealership personal. They took the pics while they were on the phone with us. DH reached the dealership about 15 minutes later. The truck only had to unload his car to this dealership. The truck was gone when he got there. We were so glad that we left the cameras around.

So, should I attempt the same routine. Actually this dealership is so much closer to our home. The GT500's was about an hour away. DH just happen to be working close to that area that day. I'm sure they will think I'm crazy, but than again I'm almost sure they've been through this before.

I've been so focused on my own misery/hysteria that I forgot to say congratulations! Sorry, It's these new meds I'm on (mini-loft or mini-zack) they just don't seem to be working...anyway, I'm late for my basket weaving class, I hope you enjoy you new mini.

My doctor said the exact same thing! Is it a conspiracy? :impatient

Happily my "cure" is just a couple of weeks away.

...and CLOSER...

I, too, am the victim of the disparity between the info in th owner's lounge and reality. I checked on WW and found that Graham is booked on the Faust (ominous???). No report from SailWX yet however. And the wait continues...

Booked and boarded are two different things. My MINI was booked on the MAERSK WAVE, but it filled up before mine was loaded. My poor MINI was stranded at the dock until the ISOLDE arrived a week later.
