It's been 4 days and I am loving it!

I have put on about 150 miles so far and the car pulls hard at RPM's below 4500 as the peak torque is around 1900 rpm IIRC. I love the acceleration and the exhaust sound .
One time I intentionally had it in the 4th gear when I really should have been barely in the 2nd and the engine did not show any signs of stalling. I was just amazed.
I saw a fellow R56 in DS/B(?) and nodded. He waved at me at the same time.

I just drove around aimlessly and also drove on the freeway ramps between two exits repeatedly. By the time I am in the 3rd gear I am already way over the speed limit .
At the rate I am driving my new MINI it will take me about 2 months to reach 1200miles unless I take a long distance trip...

Happy Motoring!! It was worth waiting for 3 months and a half.

Congrats. Took me about a month to break 1200 miles. Nice to have the freedom from the 4500 limit.

Congrats! Aren't they cool!? I've had mine for 10 days and am in the same situation you are. Way fast. Not much body roll, some pitching on hard braking. Luckily, I was able to turn my 180 mi I-5 trip home into a 250 mi total back road run. The car shined, tho not so shiny when I got it home.

I do smile when I get ready to play in the car. I do occ find myself above 4500, but not usually. It just gets there so damn fast!

In total agreement about the wait. Now for the modding......

Don't worry about break in time, that has a way of taking care of itself. A road trip is a good idea.
We picked a target about 200 miles away and then adapted more on the fly. Took us 8 days to get broke in!
Enjoy and enjoy and enjoy.

Yep, it goes way too fast way too quick. I've been stopped twice, and the cops let me off both times when I said I was just trying out my new car. Not even a warning!
