What to do after a root canal in the morning?

Order your first mini in the afternoon.

After a morning dental appointment, I took a drive out to the mini dealership and placed an order for a 07 MCSa DS/B with just about every option except the nav and the sunroof. I finally saw the redwood lounge leather in person and that helped me decide to include it in my configuration.

Thanks to all the posters here at NAM for you advice and experience. It helped immensely during the building process.

That's an excellent salve for your pain! DS with redwood lounge is absolutely stunning. Good luck with your wait and enjoy!

I hope you don't regret getting all those options once the dental after-effects wear off. Somehow, I doubt you will!

Stab you hand with a fork. That'll take your mind off your teeth.

4xAAA,

That's why I ordered Dark Silver. While under the effects of Novocain, I didn't want to say Lighting Blue and accidentally shower the MA. He might have taken offense and not thrown it the mats!

Wow, gotta see it. DS with red lounge leather sounds real nice. Post some pictures after the dental work settles and you get your MINI.

Another who did not opt for the NAV and Sunroof.

Enjoy it when it gets here.

Too funny, I did almost the exact opposite with my R53. I went straight from the dealer to the dentist on the way home.

I went back and forth about the sunroof. I was concerned that the inside of the car would seem confined without the sunroof. In the end the lack of a full shade made me decide against it. I had chosen the anthracite headliner but removed that option thinking that the darker color would make interior space seem smaller. Which headliner did you choose and how do you like the car without the sunroof?

Thanks in advance for your input.

Well I had two with a sunroof and would never order it again, if that is any indication. Oh and every other car I had before the MINIs all had sunroofs. I just don't think it is built/designed as well as say a BMW sunroof. Although if I did it again I think I would order no sunroof with the anthracite headliner. If everything in the interior is dark it frames everything outside and gives a kind of cockpit feeling. I like that.

I've had sunroofs and dislike them. Hot and noisy, and don't do anything for me. I was going to get anthracite, ended up with a car without, and don't miss it. I LOVE the car WITHOUT the sunroof!

I was back at the dentist again today. Hopefully, this will be the last trip for a while. Anyway, while in the chair, the sound of the drill whining in the background, I thought, “the price of this dental work could almost pay for a navigation system or better yet a JCW performance upgrade”. Having ordered a Mini, will I forever weigh all expenditures against possible upgrades?

Yep. Upgrades and Mods.

Do I really want that mini-skirt for $129 or the TSW Engine Dampener?

Do I really want to go to Vegas and gamble this weekend, or do I want the $900 DFIC?

Do I really need yet another Dooney&Bourke purse, or would I prefer an aftermarket Navigation system?

Ohhhh yesssss....life has just changed for you.

I plan on posting pictures but unfortunately it will be awhile. I believe I am in production week 32. So I have a bit of a wait.
