R56 R56 Production Week 28 Support Group
I think 5 days on a dock is cruel and unusal punishment for such cute little cars AND us.!!!
Of course we could very likely be on a ship and chuggin' across the Atlantic....we live in hope.

Trying to settle on a name. We think it's a female. Perhaps Scarlett
given her color and locale....
My hope is that it's been steaming towards Charleston for several hours now as the Emden left Southampton at 2000 hours GMT (I think that's 3pm Eastern). They haven't turned on their weather tracking system, so their data is over a week old: EMDEN tracking map
Unfortunately there's only one way to find out!
*sits impatiently*

Mine too, I wonder if there is a way to make it dock in SC first...hmmmm. Like maybe a big storm in the north east.

I thought I was going to be on the K Line EMDEN instead of the INTEGRITY. Actually, I was hoping for the EMDEN. I am a little frustrated
that we left on the earlier ship (INTEGRITY) but with a later due date into Charleston compared to the EMDEN!!!Arggghh!
Oh, well, you see, I didn't find out where the heck my MINI is. According to my MA and AskMini it's still waiting patiently on a loading dock in Southampton, being admired by shoremen and dock workers.
But after learning that AskMini and even MAs sometimes don't know if a MINI has caught a boat for up to a full business week (especially if it's not on a WW ship) I started looking at port schedules and trying to get creative. So my hope against hope is that it was booked on the Emden and nobody was told about it.
My MINI was finished and waiting at port Friday the 13th, so, hoping that a full five days (docks don't really close on the weekends, so the weekend shouldn't play into it too much) is probably enough time for my little MINI, ticket in hand, to get onto an available ship. The Emden arrived at Southampton yesterday morning super early, was fully loaded with BMW/MINI product, and left port on time at about 8pm United Kingdom time last night.
Everything seems to make sense that my MINI, and yours too I'm hoping, were scooted on board. I figured it's kinda like being on stand-by for a flight. When there's room, you get booked and you're on your way.
Now, since there's no way to find out what cars are on a K-line, deductive reasoning leads me to believe that K-Line ships are THE REASON that AskMini and the MA at the dealership has that "sometimes we don't know for up to a week the status of your MINI after it's gotten to the port to await a shipping vessel."
It all makes sense. It has to. It just... has to. *crosses fingers*

I'm sure they will find each other again at some point. I'm already plotting how to find time to go to MINIs on the Dragon '08. I'm thinking our cars will be on US soil within the next 12 days or so...positive thoughts...positive thoughts...positive thoughts!
We've been at the Dragon the last 2 years!!! It is GREAT fun!!! You gotta go and we'll have to meet up and let the girls reMINIsce.
We reserved a cabin for next year before we left!!
SURELY, our cars will be here by Dragon time!!!! LOL
You'll get Dragon Egg before we get Saffron as we're in OH. Alas.

well ask mini now says my mini is on it's way to me, but the OL still says it's at the port so i wouldn't put too much faith into the OL's information. hope we all get our minis soon!!!

Oh geez, the info gets worse....ASK MINI told me that once the cars hit the port it is out of their system and our MAs are THE source. Well, BluTurtle and I have the same build date and have been at the port for 6 days and nothing changes. WW has nothing on my VIN and I checked the VINs on the Integrity and it wasn't there. However, several KLiner ships have left so Ive crossed fingers, toes and eyes!!!
Blu...those girls better not be having fun....drinking and laying on the deck taking in the rays.

Well, if you have to drive 60 miles a day what better car to do it in??
I love driving mine. I wonder if she'll be jealous or take the youngster under her wing!!! The 2 girls will be garaged with a Miata....we'll have to watch him!!!!

So if it's not on a WW Ship....?
Can anyone confirm that if your MINI's VIN is not on file at the WW site under the auto tracking page there's no way to determine what ship it's traveling on over to Charleston?
MINI#6 was finished last Saturday and was sent to Southampton on Monday or Tuesday of this week.............
