Congrats Jeeper! I haven't seen anyone else posting that they will be taking delivery soon so it looks like you'll be the first from our group.

 

Even though mine has a little bit further of a truck ride, I'm still hoping sometime around the first weekend of August (3rd through the 6th). I have very few dealer options being installed so it might work out.

 

Or, others have already taken delivery and are too busy out motoring to be on the board

 

That could be the case, or they aren't as active on here as us with MOCD

 

Any week 26'er who takes delivery and does not post pictures will be hunted down......

 

 

I think we can give them a bit of a grace period, but you can only burn through two tanks of gas before you have to post pics..........although for some of us after this wait, we may be talking the first day

In part I think that some people may have dropped off because once it is on the ship the only two bits of info left are when it arrives at the port, and when it arrives at the dealer, everything in between appears to be a bit of a mystery

 

There should be a smiley icon on here for jumping up and down in celebration. I am happy for you but it makes me want my mini even more. Oh, the waiting, twisting and turning my guts into mush. Please please please post some pics!!

It's hard to believe it's finally here ... seems like I've been waiting an eternity (but then so have all of you). I'm so excited about getting this car ...

Although, with my luck, something will happen, the dealer will call and postpone pickup until next weekend. Ugh - I'll remove that thought from my mind.

 

I gotta call Tate tomorrow then, as mine should be in now as well. It sucks though cause I'm going out of town first thing tomorrow morning. I will know when I can pick it up when I call.

 

Its good to see that some people are about ready to start taking delivery of their MINIs, mine is still about 5 days away from the Port of Charleston.

I'm still debating where I am going to drive the car to first!

Well, just got an email from the dealer - the car isn't ready; the aero kit is still being painted. So, no pickup for me tomorrow, guess it will have to wait until next weekend.

The original MA that I ordered the car through, doesn't work there anymore, so I'm being tossed around between the sales manager and another MA. Neither of whom seem to share information. How disappointing.

Looks like I'm back in the "waiting" group.

 

So how are they at matching the paint if they are going to paint the aerokit at the dealer? I know with some colors they can never get the right match.

 

Ugghh. Sorry to hear that . Hey, if your close to your dealer they'll probably let you take a look-see at it if you stop by.

 

They should have the same factory mix of paint. It is just a pain trying to get a bottle of touch up paint.

 

They did a good job on the '04 mini I had; it was dark silver and the aero kit matched perfectly. This time around it's a red mini, so we'll see.

 

I just checked the Port of Charleston vessel schedule and the Liberty has docked. That is 2 days early right? Anyone waiting for it?

 

I'm watching the Port of Jacksonville for the Franconia. It's supposed to be there on the 16th and then come up to Charleston the 18th, according to CHS port authority. K-line originally showed the 19th, so all you can do is watch closely.

So according to this info it should reach Jacksonville in early morning of July 17th. It may be a little bit quicker though.

I'm definitely still here for everyone...till the last Week 26 ower gets their MINI. Only thing right now i my rear fogs are missing, a problem of MINI forgetting to add it to the order. So i'll be waiting for my MA to call me this week to have them retrofit the rear fogs. I'll post pics after the tint and stripes are put in.

I am in Brisbane, Australia and my week 26 MINI is still on a ship. I have been tracking it via the WW site but us Aussies arent as lucky as the americans in that we dont have a MINI lounge to get constant updates...

The TALISMAN arrives in the port of Brisbane on the 8th of August - I am guessing that it will take 10 days to clear customs and get sorted by the dealer... I could be the last one on this thread to get their MINI but it will be worth the wait!!!!
