Wow. This thread has become really active. I am set up to get email updates but I wasn't receiving any. Anyway, thanks SimpsonGI for the credit on the delivery estimate find. It is my obsession that keeps me looking and checking everything twice (or 12 times) to make sure that I have not missed anything. I should post this on the MOCD thread. I am just happy to know that my mini is on its way!

Yeah, I honestly could care less for the aero kit and all the other "apperance" related items, my main concern lies with items that will lead to improved performance........not that the stock MCS was not a blast to test drive but...

 

Finally! I know where my mini is. She is on the NYK line "Yorktown Express" that left Southampton July 1 and will dock in SC July 12. As of 1200 hours July 6, the Yorktown is approximately 1/4 of the way across the Atlantic. I tried to cut and paste her actual coordinates but for some reason it won't paste. Woo hoo!!! My MA says I should have her no later than July 19. That is only 31 days from date of order. I am not going to believe it until I get the keys.

 

Nice! You had a long wait trying to find/figure it out. I didn't know which VDC your Mini would be going through or I'd have tried to help you find the ship name like I did for daveag98, which by the way, both of your Minis are on the same ship .

From your post it sounds like they are reporting the weather conditions so you'll be able to get a new position update every 6 hours. That should help with the MOCD! Well, maybe not, it may do the reverse and help fuel the fire

 

ok Simpson, i like think i have to agree with your detective work, even without knowing for sure which ship my mini is on.

The port of charlston only has so many ships in bound in the next 30 days and only a handful are car transports. The only ship with cars in that is due around the 12th is the Liberty. So even though i can not find my vin on the ww site, it almost has to be on there.

and put in GBSOU532078 for the booking number. The booking number depends on the port of discharge. This one is for SC. If you click "printer friendly version" on the right hand side of the screen, it will put all the VINs on one page and you can search for your VIN.

 

My MINI was completed and at the port on 6/29, so I am guessing that it must not be on a WW.....One week later the VIN# still does not bring up any information on their tracking site.


Are the JCW items available yet, it looks like they can now be added when you build a car at the MINI website

 

Good to know that there's a mystery missing mini found. Do you know when your car was built? Mine was supposed to have been built 6/28. Applejacks, I'm hoping we're on the same boat as Lynn. I just wish the OL system would update to "En Route."

 

Lynn, still not on there, but i noticed that when i checked last week there were 302 vins on there, now there are only 300. I wonder if they got a problem.

My vin is not on thier site or under the booking number.

It might also be possible my mini is on the york town

 

My mini was built 6/26 and at the port 6/27.

From the shipping schedule to the port and what the OL is telling you as the estimated delivery date, it has to be on the Yorktown Express, it is due at the port the same day as your estimated delivery.

 

Yes, it appears that some of the JCW works items are available now.

Have you looked at the OL to see if the order status is En Route? Do you know where the VDC for your location? If the status is En Route, you should be able to find the estimated delivery date in the Review Order Details section. That delivery date is the date it should arrive at the VDC.

I'd be happy to help you track down the ship name if you can provide me with the VDC location (is it NY or is in SC or somewhere else in between or far away?) and the estimated delivery date. I'll go out to the various shipping company sites and go through their schedules to find the ship it is on for you.

 

They really need to get more detailed why can't everyone be more like ww.

If its on the yorktown and docks on the 12th, then i should get it no later than the 21st.

 

After tracking the Liberty, looks like it might reach NY port by this Sunday.

just got this from my MA, its hard to read but does that look like i am on the western highway?

 

I'm not sure, when I go the K line website www.kline.com I'm having difficulties pulling up the shipping schedule by port and by vessel. I think it might be having issues with my using Firefox or the Java pop up was being way slow and I got to impatient and didn't wait long enough. The line at the top for vessel is blank. The HAM107241 could be related to the vessel itself or the voyage/route number. If we haven't been able to figure this out soon, I'll try the k line site again using IE later on today.

At least your MA finally sent you some information on it. It is a bit different than what I was expecting since the NYK ship is due the same day as the date listed in the OL for you, provided it still says the 12th there.

Nice find Dave. I just heard from my MA. Bummer, but I missed the earlier boats and am on the Franconia. It left yesterday, as you can see on your link. That's okay, I'll be out of town anyway, so it'll be there when I get back.

Aye, good news indeed. Have you tried to see if the ship is trackable via www.sailwx.info ?

EDIT: I tried, they haven't turned on their weather system.
