I'm sure someone out there has and I apologize if this has already been discussed but I searched and didn't come up with anything. If you have a UK number plate mounted to your R56, how did you go about doing it? Did you have to drill holes? Purchased a holder? Any info, links, suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

No one to reply? I was just curious how people were going about mounting......hole drilling vs. other methods. I really don't want holes drilled if it isn't necessary.

usually when you buy a custom UK plate.. they offer a housing mount that fits with the US drill holes. Thats only if you decided to drilled holes on your car.

As you can see from my Sig photo I have a Euro plate (Ireland) mounted on the front . These are the same numbers that my "64 Mini had when I was a lad back in the old country. It is mounted to the bumper by drilling the two dimple locations with a small pilot drill and using the universal mount frame that you can order with the plate. Any other info needed you can PM me.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I wasn't sure if there was a "holeless" mounting option like there are for some of the USA front mount plates or not.

I think there is a holeless option mount somewhere. I read a thread about it several weeks ago. As I recall the plate ends up somewhere else, not right in the middle like the screw mount does.

I may be wrong, but I think all the "holeless" plate mounts are made for the US style plates. The Euro plates themselves have to be mounted in their own frames to give them rigidity as they are long and narrow. I have checked all the websites for them, no luck. So I ended up mounting to the small "dimples" provided.
