Hi

The dealer i was working with botched my order - they now tell me I won't make the July delivery month. They said if I order now I would make it into the August delivery - approx Aug 15 0r 21st.

I live in NYC area

Can anybody help on a best guess for a realistic date for delivery?

I called ASKMINI and they said 3 months --- semmed a little off

I need the car NO later than Aug 21st --- I really don't want to rent a car while I wait for mine

I MAY consider another car if I need to -- MazadaSpeed3 Gran Touring - What I have read has been very favorable --- Please don't flame me for this -- I just need to be realistic --- The Mini is the 1st choice

Search another state in the east of Mississippi. There are dealers with 72 cars in the lot. Here, in Oregon, it will take 3 months or longer.

If they messed up your order shouldn't they provide you with a loaner in the interim that you should have had your car?

I can't help but be curious how they botched it - did you have a contract with the car particulars as it should have been built and they incorrectly placed the order?

How did the dealer "botch" your order? NY is full of dealers. Try another one. Go to a Mazda dealer.

Best guess would be 6-8 weeks from order to arrival in NYC. I live in central NJ and ordered my '06 on Dec. 30, 2005 and picked up from dealer on Feb. 27, 2006. The factory was on a combination holiday break and plant retooling for two to three weeks during late December early January that year. You are probably safe if you order one now. Best of luck.

You can try Morristown MINI where I got mine ordererd April 13 received May 19. But it really depends I think on what your ordering and the available production slots they have been allocated. There is Prestige MINI in Mahwah, NJ and Princeton MINI in Princeton, NJ as well.

You can try Westchester MINI in White Plains, NY. They have a pretty big selection of cars in dealer inventory. I had a very good buying experience there.

Try Mini of Towson, Md. Talk to Tony. I ordered my MCS on April 30th, and took delivery on May 22nd. Three weeks total ! Mini of Towson is a huge dealer, and has a big allocation of cars.
