Well the Frisia is scheduled to pull into Baltimore today and then back to cruising down to Charleston where she is scheduled to dock 6/7! Hope the weather isn't an issue for her.

Hrmph.

According to sailwx the Falstaff, on which our MINI sits, has been loitering off the cost of the Dominican Republic for about 6 days:

http://sailwx.info/shiptrack/shippos...html?call=SLCO

Dunno what that means.

Fidel has a new MINI?

Sailwx relies on ships reporting weather. Can be hit or miss sometimes.

Thanks! The only problem is that my dealer is 3,000 miles away from me, so I will have to wait for like 2 weeks to get my car. My dealer is shipping the car to me.

My dealer called me and said that I'm about 10 days out until I get my Mini!

Man. If our MINI comes in on the 16th, I'll be down in Del Rio fishing on Amistad. She either gets ready to roll by the 15th, or she sits for a few more days.
Man. Timing sux.

The Frisia docked is docked and unloading at Charleston.
Off to a good start this morning.

I hope they don't drop the box with ours in it!

My MA is out for training the next 2 days. Got a call in to one of the salesmen there hoping to get some news on when to expect delivery.
I hate working from conjecture.

Update: Got a call back...not overly helpful. The *other* MA said his update showed the Frisia delayed making port until tomorrow. ???? Said 3-4 days est for VDC. But he said once we were released by VDC they get an est for delivery that is usually real solid.
I told him call me.
Meh.

Then why did the port of charleston website show the frisia docked? I bet it's there at the VDC. Is the VDC open on weekends?

Not sure if the VDC is open, but he did say it gets loaded on a train and unloaded at the VDC.
Basicaly he said they didn't know anything for sure until after it cleared the VDC.
*I just agreed with that.*

Emden docked 6/1 @ 17:10 , unloaded 6/2 starting @ 8:00
Owner's lounge finally said at VDC,estimated delivery date 6/9, when I checked this morning 6/7
Is that a 3-4 day lag in posting on the website?
Should be on the road to st. louis by now
Plan to pick it up Monday 6/11
I read somewhere that they will work saturdays at the VDC, they normally worked 7AM to 4PM M-F but worked Saturdays when there was high demand for "Priority One" vehicles (Priority One is a car that is already sold).

Yeah Acebutt!!!!
(grumble, grumble, grumble)
Wish ours was here already.

Check her over real good. Make sure you don't get I want-to-go-itis and miss a blem. Well, really I hope there are no blems. Just smooth paint and all the bells and whistles work.
Motor on!

Well sailwx still isn't updating for the Falstaff. However, according to the Port Hueneme website, it's supposed to be in on Sunday. And then it's looking like a week or so for people to clear the VDC? So maybe next weekent. Woo woo.

Can't wait.

Wednesday I posted on my local MINI forum to my MA. My dealership had a photo contest and my MA was posting for the winner to be patient and I responded with patience schmatience.....where is my Scarlett? and followed it up with a j/k. My MA's response to me was:

I just checked and your MINI is on its way to China...

J/K

Your MINI will be here SOON!!!! The good news is you should have it for the meeting next Saturday!

Woohoo! Next Saturday, 6/16 is my local chapters MINI meet and sounds like Scarlett will be able to attend too! Applied for financing through my credit union online and my bank check is awaiting pick up as we speak. YAY!! She is finally closer than ever and soon to be home!!

My MA has been very vague on when mine should arrive- I get the standard uhhh 10 days or so. I know mine will be an extra day or so to get the windows tinted so hopefully the week of the 18th I should get it.

The dealership is tinting the windows, charging me $225. Not sure if it's a rip off or not but it will be nice not having to go separately to another place and wait while they tint. Much easier and let the dealer take care of it.
