4xAAA Pictures?
WOW! Took a road trip yesterday for break in miles. Drove down to San Marcus and picked up the Devil's Backbone (Hw 32W), on to Blanco, past Luckenbach, and finally Fredricksburg. Lots of twisties and ups and downs along the way.
Not exactly "spirited" driving, but it was fun to see a car in your rear view going into a string of turns and then see them 100 yds back, after.
Got 441 miles on the tank at 34.4 mpg (hand calc'd). Still had 2 bars, but they looked angry and red.
We are STOKED!

No CEL
Our Lightening Blue S model delivered on Jun 8th. It has not had the CEL come on, but it has had.
1. Stalling on second day - code said bad vent valve
2. Ran out of gas showing 1/2 tank. Replaced vent valve and one tank sensor
3. 15 minutes to put in 5 gallons of gas - hose not installed on vent valve at factory
4. Crushed gas tank due to bad vent valve
Vent Valve explains all the other things.
It has been in the dealership 2-1/2 weeks out of 3 1/2 weeks we've had it. Now we are told there are no fuel pumps in the U.S. and don't know how long it will take to get one. After lots of pressure to SA they agreed they had several on the lot and supposedly are taking one from another. Should be ready tomorrow.
Love the car but lots of frustration in only 3 weeks. The local dealership has did their job, but am frustrated a lack of Quality Control checking behind the robots, or a QC inspector taking a break at the wrong time.

I hear you loud and clear Auford and agree wholeheartedly! A brand new vehicle should NOT have these sort of issues. Sorry your MINI has been in the shop longer for most of your ownership time but trust me, once it comes home you will enjoy getting to know it soooooooo much. I love my MINI! Every time I look at her I think she is a toy car......she is loads of fun! Good luck and hopefully you won't have any more gremlins!
