A company, which will remain nameless while they (with the help of my '09 fJCW Clubman) prototype and BETA test a brand new exhaust, is bringing a fantastic new product to the Clubby market!

Full 304ss from the Downpipe back, 3" from the downpipe to the Y, 2x2.5" post Y sections at 1.5mm thickness full mandrel bends throughout with mirror finish. It's a beautiful exhaust for a sub $900USD price tag!

My prototype has more cuts and welds than the production version of course, but this is a piece of art.

I will act as a feedback proxy for now, so let me know what you think of it, because now is the time to gather future customer feedback and make the last tweaks as needed!

Akrapovic makes a nice sounding exhaust but aren't they drone prone?

 

This is only the Akrapovik DP, until this company completes the prototype 3" DP.

I would say that some drone kicks in around 3500rpm... but it's not just an annoying drone, it's an exhaust note, it sounds good and I love it. Below that... I sometimes forget that I have this sweet exhaust on and it "surprises" me when I hammer to pass

 

So, how will the rest of us know what this is going to really sound like, since you've already got the Akrapovik DP? I volunteer my car! It's all stock, baby! But, I've been wanting an exhaust. Though, I just got a CEL this morning. Damnit.

 

I had local shop do mine, no clamps to leak. Sounds great. Uses resonator you can't see in pic, round 4" magnaflow mufflers, the T is 3" in 2.5" out. Pipe is 3" back from turbo, catless.

I wish this was around before I pulled the trigger on all of my exhaust. Looks promising.
