Mission Control Retrofit Help.

Be recently purchased a Mission Control Retrofit kit for my 2011 Clubman S from Way Motor Works, and was contacted by them to assure that I have the connection for it in my car, so I went out to my car and took the whole passenger side of the dash out and couldn't find any connection at all! My car is a 10/10 build and from what I understand they stopped putting the connection in sometime in 2011, which should mean my car should have the connection, but it doesn't! Has anyone retrofitted it or know where the cable is exactly, I'm pretty good at missing things in plain site so it could just be me, but I looked for a solid hour and couldn't find anything. Any help is appreciated.

Does your car have MINI Connected? If it does, I think Mission Control is a feature in the MINI Connected iPhone app, not a standalone module.

+1

My mission control is an SD card slot in the hidden compartment above the glove box. Its very annoying and I quickly disconnected it.

My car doesn't have connected, I've had a Clubbie with connected before and Mission Control was part of the app. I'm talking about retrofitting the one that goes where the secret compartment is, there is supposedly a cable back there but I can't seem to find it.

Yes, that's what I got, but I can't figure where to connect it, there's nothing behind my secret compartment.

From what I see on the install PDF is the wire harness comes with the kit and then the harness goes from the new box to the stereo and that's it ? Did you get that full kit ?

Ohhhh... All right, so, the cable comes in the kit, it's not already in the car, and yeah I got the full kit, so all is good. Thank you so much ECS!

You are welcome. If you need any help with weird / rare OEM parts . We have them and most of the time know pretty good amount about them , Or I can dig to find more stuff out. MINI does have a bunch or rare and unusual parts compared to other brands.

I've found my fair share of weird parts with MINI, they are by far the most bizarre car company out there, but I love them, I've already had four of these MINI's in four years! LOL! But thanks ECS for being so awesome, you guys have given me some pretty sweet deals in the past and you've definitely got the best prices for OEM parts.

I had to laugh. I got this put in a while ago during MINI's blowout parts sale. $8 total. Here's the part number for cars that did not come fitted from the factory. it works. 65412154719

Good luck. Took programming too.

@Jaque_Mate, I put in that part number in Google and couldn't find it anywhere, do you mind me asking who you purchased it from and how you got it so cheap? I got it $29, which is still cheap by my standards, but you got a great price! How much did you pay for coding?
@ECS, I was looking on Ways website now and noticed that in the picture of the module it doesn't show the cable I need to plug it in, is it possible to buy it on its own just in case it doesn't come with it?

There are two part numbers, one for those with wiring, and one for those without. There was a sale from MINI, not aftermarket, about 2 months ago that had some items up to 94% off. It lasted about a month and MINI didn't publicize it. I actually got the one you have, but the tech I know made a wiring harness for it to fit. Try realoem.com or contact a dealer. You'll need the instructions too.

So, you (and I) got the kits that need a wiring harness to be made? I'm confused, again. So I can't just buy the harness I'd have to get one made?

Yes, when there is super sales on a part, you have to check first if its what fits, or if it needs something else. I know at a price like that its hard to pass up.

That's why we will do our best to help people on here and outside the forums when MINI has a good deal.

Anyone know if it would be possible to retrofit this kit to a F56 2016 2-door? There must be some sort of way to do it... anyone with some engineering skills?

That would be allot of work the F56 and the R56 are two different electrical platforms for the stereo and information display.

I guess with time someone could figure it out. Install PDF is linked above, but i would not know where to start.

ECSTuning,
Is the full kit for the 2010 r55 still available?
Other than taking apart the glove box and hidden compartment, is there any other way to know if the wiring is there?
And
How much does MINI charge for the programming?

I really don't need it, would be fun to have!

Im looking to install the mission control retrofit kit. My mini has mini connected, but they removed the mission control from the app, last year. I do miss that silly feature. Any ideas, if I can install the retrofit kit on a mini with mini connected?
