I understand the saving the cash, but the Magnaflow for the Clubman is available for about $750 shipped to your door. That gives you stainless steel from the cat back and a lifetime warranty.

Just tossing that out there.

Is there a noticeable change in sound with the Magnaflow? I got the idea it's not that much different than stock.

A very deep tone overall but at speed it really doesn't drone but is gets quite a bit louder when you romp on it.

I had a R55 loaner the other day and the first thing I thought was man this is too quiet. So it is quite noticeable from the inside.

The install is easy. I rented a reciprocating saw from Home Depot for $7 and had the one cut done in about 30 seconds. then hang everything loose and start tightening everything up from the back (to align the tips) to the front. All you have to do is pay attention to the "Y" split in the back being level so the tips are level at the back. If not, one points down and the other points up but all you have to do is rotate it slightly and tighten.

I did find the cross brace would touch the larger diameter pipe, so I bought 6 longer screws and some washers as spacers and extended it 1/2 inch down. cost like $3 to do it.
