downpipe back exhaust

So I have an awesome wife who told me to buy myself an exhaust for my Clubman S as my birthday/fathers day gift!
Looking for suggestions. See lots of discussion on systems for R56 but not so much for R55.
The places offering R56 systems seem to not all offer R55 systems.
I plan for downpipe back. I have the battle DNA stage 1 tune excited to move to stage 2.
Be gentle it's my birthday, thanks!

What exhaust do you have? I saw a FJCW exhaust with a high flow DP from Akrapovic and Evolve, it sounds amazing. Check out some YouTube videos. I actually have that setup. Officially getting installed on Wednesday.

Decided to go with Milltek and a Catless downpipe.

Will have to wait as I have discovered my clutch is going out. Ouch!

Does anyone make a 3" downpipe back system for the clubman? I just picked up a Access Port and I'd like to step up to the Stage 2 tune eventually but Alta says a 3" downpipe and exhaust is a must.

Really ? 3" was good enough for 400hp on my 5.7l , can't imagine ever getting near that on a 1.6l

In my search for my downpipe (ordering Way Motors version) I recall coming across a 3" version. Sorry I can't recall who made it.

However I have the Battle/DNA tune, and they only require 2.5 for their stage 2. I would think (not an expert) that if 3" was required that the whole exhaust system would need to be 3"? And from what I have found most of the systems are 2.5 or slightly smaller (60mm).

Just what I was told by the guys who created the tune.
400hp boosted 5.7 with single 3" exhaust?

Yeah, that's what I was thinking too. But custom is the only way I'm going to get that.
I was looking into the Magnaflow, simply because I can get it at cost and I've had great luck with their products in the past. Combine that with a catless downpipe, but I'm still only 2.5 everywhere.

They don't. But I appreciate the suggestion.

I will be looking at the Milltek and the FJCW Price is a issue with the Miltek, but sound is great. You can get the FJCW from ECS. It uses the same tubes, so really just mufflers.....

Ahh NO , not boosted, and it don't matter how you get the HP , HP is HP and 3" is good to about 550-600HP . And YES a single 3" pipe.

I was really hoping you said no, because a 400hp boosted 5.7 isn't impressive at all. lol

Yes, HP is HP, but exhaust requirements for an NA engine are completely different than those of a boosted engine.
NA relies heavily on exhaust scavenging and tuning whereas boosted application benefit heavily from flow.
I would also strongly disagree with your statement that a single 3" exhaust is good for 550-600hp. Maybe if you were running dumps, but a complete exhaust? I would say your 400hp was pushing the limits of your exhaust.

But this is off topic and probably deserves another thread instead of taking over this one.

The JCW exhaust for the Clubman does look great and sounds good also.

The Y pipe is the same for the Cooper S and JCW . The pipes have the integrated larger tip. So new clamps and the rear two mufflers.

Whatever you decide good luck.

JCW Muffler - Rear Left Part # 18308608937

& JCW Muffler - Rear Right Part # 18308609042

&

Then the two new clamps. x 2

WOW...$1,400 for an exhaust? What kind of power gains are netted from that?

Your right! That 1.6 is too big for that kinda horsepower.

Nissan's 1.5L 3 cyl puts out 400hp.
