What's a 2010 Clubman S Laurel Sport worth?

I'm in the market for my first MINI and came across one that is supposed to be a Laurel Sport edition. I haven't looked at it in person yet, just pictures, but it's got the clear side markers, extra fog lights, the body kit with the painted rockers, HID headlights, H/K sound system, and supposedly the sill plates. It's got 32k miles on it and has had the water pump recall done, and a new clutch installed about 100 miles ago.

It IS missing the Laurel Sport stripes though. I'm not familiar with them enough to know if anything else is missing.

I don't really think that most of the special edition cars (Checkmate, Sidewalk, Bayswater, Laurel, Mayfair, Camden, etc) are worth more than their regular S and non-S counterparts. Even though the packages were limited in number, they are not yet collector cars. Some, such as the GP, MC40, and Goodwood may be worth more, since they were very limited production and have either lots of go-fast bits installed from the factory or are extremely luxuriously appointed (Goodwood).

The general rule is that a car is worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

Thanks

From what I could tell, it was more of a cosmetic package so I didn't think it was a HUGE value adder, especially since it's been altered.

It does look good. They're asking $18,900 for it but we haven't discussed price yet. Otherwise, they have a CPO model, same color and less miles for the same price.

Laurels are beautiful cars. I haven't seen too many of them around. Unfortunately, I don't think the factory stripes and Laurel decals are available any longer, so replacing them may be a bit of a headache.

Let me ask this question then. If you had a choice between a 2010 Laurel Sport that wasn't a CPO car, and a 2010 Pepper White with with the same mileage, panoramic sunroof, cold weather package, and IS a CPO car, which would you pick? They're both 1 owner cars, clean car fax. The Laurel actually went through CPO and then they discovered it needed a clutch, so they pulled the CPO after putting a clutch in because they've got too much money in it.

BTW, they're asking 18,900 for both. I'm not fond of spending the same for a car that isn't CPO. That's the whole point of paying a little extra, is the extra warranty.

It's worth the world!!!
jk but honestly i just picked up a Laurel Sport clubman january 3rd and I love it, but I also fell in love with the looks the moment I first saw one. Mine actually had the rear stripes and roof stripes removed but still had the side and hood stripes, so it still looked mostly like an original laurel. I agree with what you are thinking concerning the added benefit of the cpo, and I in a similar situation looking at lower mileage clubmans that still had balance of factory warranties vs this laurel i chose, but to me the looks won out. I am very happy with my choice and I do absolutely love the exclusivity of my car and the fact that I most likely won't see another laurel around here anytime soon.
If you aren't in love with the look (i know it doesn't have the stripes so that's less unique) it may make more sense to go with the other cpo clubman. I will say I am constantly looking back at my car or taking pictures of it, so the love of the look hasn't warn off at all yet.

I'd buy the CPO, no doubt.

There's a thousand ways to customize your car visually and make it look different and to your taste. Having a factory warranty extension is going to bring you peace of mind, at the very least.

I ended up buying the Laurel Sport for just this reason. The other one just didn't "speak to me" like this one did. I'm hoping that, because it actually went through the CPO process and WAS CPO at one time before they put the clutch in, that it's in great shape. I looks like it and drives like it. Tires are new or almost new, new clutch, and all of the recalls/bulletins were done.

I pick it up Monday. The first thing I'm doing is removing the two black stripes the PO put on the hood. Just plain Pepper White for me.

Oh, and the Laurel Sport side scuttles were inside the car, so I'll have them and the regular S ones that are already installed on the car. They didn't have the black fog light covers, but the salesman is throwing in some white ones.
