Oh man, my favorite Mini-it wouldn't work for me in everyday life, but I love that low, long, chopped look. And the rear "hearse" doors are just too cool for school. it's just fantastic how the gas struts "pop" the doors open wide.
I thought long and hard about ordering a Clubbie instead of getting a Hardtop off the lot...
And most importantly, you got the right tranny to get the most fun out of a Mini (there is no feeling like a perfect heel/toe down shift, at speed, just before you enter a turn or corner....priceless)
As another poster said, a fat rear ASB is an absolute must. I am getting mine installed on the R56 today, in fact. Also a front strut brace/bar is an inexpensive and very easy upgrade to get that front end to turn in even quicker
Congratulations, you have a fantastic ride there!

UNLESS you live in the city and drive in traffic everyday.
That was a big deal. Drove both but really no comparison for me. Had to go with stick. So easy to drive also. And hill assist haha nice.
good call. I have driven manuals all my life and this is the first with hill assist. That's a cool feature, especially folks who are new to manuals as that is the greatest fear of someone new to it..
I have the stick and JCW interior and exterior package also. Love the look and I also installed the short shift kit. After break-in, change out the gearbox with a good synthetic gear oil. Congrats and we want pictures.
I will say, VW does hill control better than MINI. VW's will hold until gas is applied. My Clubman rolls after two seconds - sometimes it's fun to scare the kids... other times, not so much.
