My first serious warning light, HELP

09 Clubman S Auto trans 66k. I bought the car last Fri. We drove the **** out of it this weekend pretty much under many diff situations you can think of. 700+ miles from Cincy to Gatlinburg, mountains, lots of stop and go, low speeds prolonged hwy speeds. NO check lights or warning things in cluster at the steering wheel.
TODAY my wife says she was driving it, car was at driving temps, just got off the HWY. See went into a store for 30 minutes having LEFT the car running to charge her phone. YES YES, don't ask me why, that is another issue for us, ha ha ha
Well when she came out there was a warning in that cluster behind the steering wheel, it was a MOTOR EMBLEM that is half shaded, it was lighted in YELLOW. She drove it (arrrg) across the street and then turned the car off and turned it back on and it was gone and has not came back on since.
Did it sitting for 30 MIN cause the system to get confused or do I need to have the dealer look at it????

I tried to duplicate the issue tonight with no luck. I have no idea. Perhaps she thought she saw one image and it was not the one she thought???

Any mini motor heads have an idea on this one?
I must say these cars have a ton of various warning lights (red/Yellow) that if a person that knows nothing about cars, has not read the manual would have the car in the shop every time something went off.

pull the codes before it clears out of the old files. No way to tell without knowing the codes. Just causer the light is off now does not mean it cleared the history yet.

I assume I need to take it to a dealer? This is nothing PEP BOYS can read? Why would the code go away unless power is removed from the computer? Is that old school thinking on my part?

I use my dash command and wifi adapter , got
Both for less than $35 . But auto zone around
Here can read codes.

Check engines depending on the codes can turn
Off light when issue clears or after 1-3 cycles ,
Again depends on code.

Who ran your codes? The boys at the local parts store can not read all the codes a MINI is capable of setting.
