After reading and asking many questions on this forum I've decided to take the plunge into Mini ownership. I've started my search for a Lightning Blue JCW Clubman with HIDs, heated seats, and pano roof. I'm very excited to find my car!

Good luck with your search :-) I just found my wife her clubman and surprised her with it. She didn't even know I was looking for one got her.

 

I just checked ebay and there seems to be a dearth of JWC Clubman's at moment. I only saw one and it is a repair in progress. Typically see 2 or 3 at any one moment in time. There is one listed on this blog but that's been there for a while and doesn't appear to fit your description very well.

 

There are quite a few through autotrader and cars.com. Problem is most are Red or White, two colors I'm not even remotely interested in. This Lightning blue seems rare. I do expect quite a few though to be coming off of leases as it's now 3 years past the 2009 model year.

I love the color and options you're looking for. Going to be a tough one to find as Lightning blue wasn't produced for very long in that particular combo (JCW Clubman). best of luck and hopefully you can track one down.

P.S. Not sure where you are located but feel free to PM me if you need someone to locate one for you. I know of a great European car specialist that will locate the exact car you want and even do the inspections on it to make sure its in great shape.

I did a search on Lightening Blue and I agree it is a better choice of color :-)

Is there a searchable data base that has the configurations all the JWC Clubman's delivered to the US since 2008? This data exists somewhere - then at least you would know the population of possible candidates.

Keep looking and I'm sure you'll find what you want.

 

If there were any LB JCWC built at all, they would have been built between Jul 2008 and Feb 2009.

Your options would be these if not:

- Horizon Blue, Laser Blue, or Reef Blue factory JCW Clubman
- Lightning Blue Cooper S Clubman w/JCW tuning kit (dealer or port installed, less hp than factory JCW)
- Lightning Blue other MINI model

I took delivery of a 2009 factory JCW Clubman Horizon Blue/Hot Chocolate in Sept 2009. I ordered the car - it is most likely the only one in this color combo.

I love my car, but am considering selling it to buy a 2013 JCW GP! If anyone is interested in buying it, please send me a PM. The car is still under the factory warranty!

 

I found 2 in FL in Lightning blue. So you may be right on it being very rare but they do exist.

Any chance you have some pics of yours? Your colors intrigue me.

 

Also, beware of those that call themselves a JCW but are MINI Cooper S' with a JCW Tuning Kit. Still very fun, but not the same as a factory JCW. You can tell by the inscription on the exhaust (if you see a JCW engraving, its the kit not the factory car), the badge on the engine (also found on the kit) and side scuttle will still be an "S" instead of blank.
