Mini Cooper S VS John Cooper Works

Mini Cooper S VS John Cooper Works
I would like to know the difference between an MCS vs JCW when it relates to the engine or transmission/Turbo-Supercharger/Intercooler/Tuning ect.
I Purchased a 2011 MCS MT with 68k Last month and I'm hooked. I do HPDE events and i would like to get a R53/R56 depending on price and Mileage. For HPDE. I currently use a 2014 Genesis coupe 2.0 Rspec Currently putting down 308whp/327wtq. This mini handles really great and i can see this being a great track car.
I would like to know if the JCW is just a different Supercharger/Turbo and tune or does it actually have different internals and what is different in the internals. I already looked at all the difference in suspension Vs a MCS, but no one really talks about the engine/trans or difference between TC/SC. All i hear is the difference in power and suspension.
My idea is to get a Regular S (depending on what info you guy provide) (r53 or r56 Leaning more to R53 as engine for r56 (N14) reliability is pretty weak) and get Wheels and tires/weight reduction/suspension components/BBKs/tune/Straight pipes In that order.
Sorry for all the search guys. I did search, but didn't find a thread regarding details about the difference in engine or what I'm interested in. The only thing i found while doing a Google search is the R56 JCW has a bigger turbo, but no mention the size increase of the turbo.
