2012 R55 Interior Trim

I don't know why it took me this long to notice this. This weekend I noticed that I had different interior trim on the passenger side on the club door and for the back seat instead of the piano black that is on the driver's side in the back. I've attached pics of what I'm talking about. I picked up my Clubman when I was stationed in Germany this past December, and am still having issues getting my floor mats from the delivery dealer. So there's no chance of me getting them to fix it. Anyone else like this or is it only me?

You can't get this worked out or receive your floor mats because... why?
It's not rocket science, but head to your dealer to hash out the incorrect build.

If your dealer gets in contact with BMW/MINI NA and see the pictures of your car incorrectly equipped I am sure they will take care of that for you. And yeah, why is it a problem getting your floor mats? You should told the dealer that you wouldn't pick it up without the floor mats from the get-go. Sounds like you have a terrible local dealer.

My closest dealer is over 3 hours away, so I wanted to check here first to see if the trim was right or if I needed to call them and get it fixed. I'll call them today.

For the floor mats, I'm in the Air Force and was stationed in Germany. I bought the car thru BMW's Military Overseas Program and took delivery on December 2, 2012 at their contract dealer, Euler BMW in Kaiserslautern (the only dealer in the area). They didn't have the floor mats in stock, but told me they'd get them to me as soon as they did. Fast forward 4 weeks, no floor mats yet, and I had to put the car on the boat headed to the states and I left for Texas. In February I contacted them, and about a month later I get mats for an R60 in the mail. I'm still waiting on the reply to the second email I sent them. That dealer has a terrible reputation with the military community over there, and people will drive over an hour to the next closest dealer to get anything done. They guy who I went thru to buy the car has been trying to help as well, but they're a separate entity and have no control over what Euler does. And I don't want to have someone else fix what they should have done right in the first place.

Looking at your pics (and feeling your pain), I need to ask: is that the H/K sound system with the offset tweeter in your R55?

Howdy from CenTX!

Edit: I just looked at my 2009 MINI Boost rear speakers, and they have an offset tweeter in back, too... but it's black and I had never noticed it before. I learn something every day (I hope).

Where in central TX are you? I only moved to Abilene in Jan and I'm still trying to learn my way around the state.

I'm in between San Antonio and Austin. Good luck learning your way around the state... it's big and empty out your way. At least the speed limits have gone up to 85 in much of West Texas!

Bill, I wouldn't even sweat the mats. They suck anyway. I had my carpet out for my stereo upgrade and there are two large bolts that stick up out of the floor. In less than a couple of weeks those bolts wore completely through the mat on the driver's side and even with no one on the pass. side that's at least halfway worn through. They really are junk. I'd go aftermarket and call it a day. As soon as I get to Abilene and get settled, those POS mats are the first thing that are going to go.

Thanks, I'll give them a look.

It's now become a matter of principal. I've blown up the military affiliated dealer on Facebook, Pentagon Car Sales. It helped a friend when they screwed up his 3 Series order. I hope to get this resolved quickly.

If you don't mind the hole on the driver's side mat you can have mine when I get to Abilene. They weren't the white trimmed mats my JCW was supposed to get anyway. I'm going to pick up some black/red Coco Mats with WeatherTech for the winter or maybe some aluminums for the summer and WeatherTech for the winter.

My Mini mats are quite classy, and the pin is a locking pin that matches up to a hole in the mat. I always thought the Mini mats were a good feature, and look nice with the sunken MINI logo. Okay- another thread maybe, but have they been downgraded since my 2008's?

That's a great Texas speed limit sign!

I'm not talking about the attaching hardware. Min euses velcro anyway. The bolts I'm talking about are under the carpet. Not the mat, the carpet. I pulled the carpet for my stereo install.
