I have an R53 S with what looks like brushed anthracite dash and door trims. My gauge, vent, and cup holder trims are all flat silver however. I'm thinking I want to swap those for either the anthracite or anthracite matte pieces. I can't find any pictures on how those look in the car however. Does anyone have an R53 with those interiors? I'd like to see chrome as well.

 

Here is our 02 that we did a full anthracite conversion with a GP rear interior. MINI never made a anthracite tach bezel though.

 

Awesome, thanks. Where did you get all the pieces from? I can't find anthracite versions of the tweeter trim, rev gauge, or shifter surround.

Also batrugger, where'd you get the anthracite headliner? I think I'd want to nab that at some point as well. Did you buy the actual headliner separate or just get the entire headliner board thing with the headliner pre-installed? And those **** seat covers you have are sweet. Where'd you find those?

 

We got all the parts and the headliner from the dealer and they don't have anthracite for the parts you mentioned. Unfortunately I can't remember where we got the seat covers since it was a few years back. I know that they were mentioned in an MC2 article about their project R56 that they took to MINI takes the states.

 

So you just had the dealer install everything? Searching for "mini cooper seat covers" on google reveals nothing since they're not really seat covers.

 

No I installed all of the parts myself. Pretty sure I got them from autoanything.com, but I don't see them there anymore. search for sheep skin seat inserts.
