Is the R55/R56 engine supposed to come with a mini emblem on it? I have seen pictures of engines with with an emblem on the valve cover, but mine has none. Looks pretty naked and plain. Did they forget to stick one on?
You know, maybe the MINI boutique shops at the dealers should sell those in case you were unlucky. I bet they'd sell plenty of them. I have a 2009 Clubman and it has the emblem on the engine.
Picked my 09 Clubman in January of last year, didn't have an emblem on the valve cover so I just bought one off of ebay, applied the color coded applique, also purchased off of ebay, used a little extra silicone adhesive to the backside and that's it, simple solution.

The emblem, according to RealOEM, was supposed to have stopped being put on after 3/08. My 4/08 car has it. If you guys want the real emblem (it is very nice). Here are the two part numbers, and I have no idea why there are two different ones.
