Any difference between 2008 & 2009 Clubman?

I just bought my 2009 Clubman.
I've been reading everything
I can get my hands on and watching
videos. They all seem to
talk about both the 2008 & 2009 as one.
Are there any differences between the two?

Just like most models, the next year gets you something a little different. The 2009's are available with roof rails and there are different package contents. Also, a new color or two is added.

I thought DSC was standard on 09, not on 08.

AFAIK the only differences are the option packages and the price.

DSC standard as of 2008 MY......

Buttons on MFSW steering wheel have a black background on 2008s..... They are white on 2009s...

Front seat headrests are different on 2008s vs 2009s (2009 provide better whiplash protection but also more uncomfortable).

AUX/USB port is fully recessed underneath center console on 2008s.....Now the port is better positioned underneath center console on 2009s....

I drove on Wednesday a brand new Dark Silver/Silver 2009 Clubman S 6-speed manual (Dealer loaner while my 2008 Clubman S was being serviced).... Honestly.... Nice car, but I like my 2008 Clubman S automatic much, much better. Did not care for the engagement point of the clutch and the somewhat "vague" shifter... Easily kept hitting 3rd gear instead of 1st at stoplights. The clutch/shifter in my 2005 MCS is much better in both counts.

Must depend on the manufacture date. Mine are all silver.

VERY INFORMATIVE ...sounds like my 2009 is a bit improved.
I am so knocked out by my 2009 Clubman,
I'm actually buying a 2013 in 3 years..
I really want to see how the exterior
styling changes, as it will every 5 years or so.

Nigel Tufnel: The numbers all go to eleven. Look, right across the board, eleven, eleven, eleven and...
Marty DiBergi: Oh, I see. And most amps go up to ten?
Nigel Tufnel: Exactly.
Marty DiBergi: Does that mean it's louder? Is it any louder?
Nigel Tufnel: Well, it's one louder, isn't it? It's not ten. You see, most blokes, you know, will be playing at ten. You're on ten here, all the way up, all the way up, all the way up, you're on ten on your guitar. Where can you go from there? Where?
Marty DiBergi: I don't know.
Nigel Tufnel: Nowhere. Exactly. What we do is, if we need that extra push over the cliff, you know what we do?
Marty DiBergi: Put it up to eleven.
Nigel Tufnel: Eleven. Exactly. One louder.
Marty DiBergi: Why don't you just make ten louder and make ten be the top number and make that a little louder?
Nigel Tufnel: [pause] These go to eleven.

The Clubman is a neat little car. We are very pleased with its reliability so far.

That sort of cheeky thing is right in line with
the Mini sense of humor.
Its like the huge pie plate speedometer.
Traditionally when something is cranked
up to 10, that's really the high end..so what does
Mini do? They give you an 11. Hilarious!
I'll be laughing.
