Configurator Updated - Black Wheels and C Pillars

Was playing with the configurator tonight and noticed that it has been updated for the Clubman to include the black wheels and the body color C-Pillars. (Black only?)

You can now make an ALL black Clubman WITH black wheels! If that is your thing.

I am still leaning towards the Horizon Blue myself.

Here's the link from motoringfile regarding the matching C-pillars:

http://www.motoringfile.com/2009/01/...pillar-option/

Apparently, the black C-pillars will simply be Astro Black, which won't exactly match with the new Midnight Black. However, the article does say that Pure Silver C-pillars will be offered with Pure Silver. Interesting.

The c-pillars are actually jet black not astro black. It is the same black that is on blacked topped minis. Not metallic. So it does match midnight black either. Would like the black wheels though.

Now i have a tough decision in front of me and would love to have anyones opinions, don't hold anything back.

Heres the deal:

I ordered a Chili Red JCW Clubman about 2 months ago...hasnt gone into production week yet, not until next week. So i have the ability to change some things. When I first went to look at mini I was focused on black for my next car. But when I realized that the black clubman didnt come without the silver c-pillars I took that option away and concentrated on the Chili Red. I have fell in love with red, but now since they came out with new all black c-pillar option and you can build a an all black clubbie now.....

So what i would like is just some help deciding if i should change from chili red, black roof, black c-pillar, JCW front bumper, black sport stripes, black driving lamps, carbon fiber lamps and bonnet scoop to ..... black mini clubbie JCW, black roof, black c-pillars, with white sport stripes or white bonnet stripes...and all the other stuff from above.

See my deal is with an all black car you loose in my mind, difinition and detail from the car.....all th curves and lines.....and pciture taken can be a lot more entertaining with a red mini...

So guys let me know and be honest....

That's a tough one. I am sure you will be happy with either color. As you know, the red does not show dirt as much as the black, but that may not make a difference to you if you wash your car a lot. If you are really into black, go for it! Let us know what you decide to do.

Wow triple post! I would definitely re-order with the black. I had wanted to go with all black but didn't have the option back in Sept 08, so went with NFR and black. First pick would definitely be all black though.

If you wash and take care of your car, Black is the way to go. Remember men have excellent taste but do not care if you do not go with their choice, girlfriends might hold it against you.

If you go black... ahem....
You could always make some extra cash by putting some red velvet curtains in the back and start up a pet funeral service...
