Nice pics, and a good looking car. Only thing is see missing is the "MAGILLA" license plate.

I would hazard a guess on the electronic device being a GPS

Very nice Sparkling Silver - and what a beautiful morning for a photo shoot, too! We had our first snowflakes here, too, in Westchester County, NY.

You are getting snow, we are getting to 91 today in SoCal. Great day for the beach maybe the wife and I will drive through the canyons for lunch at the beach.

Nice NJ MINI!

I was cruising around Neptune this weekend. I'm from Hamilton, it's nice to see another NJ MINI enthusiast. I'm looking forward to how my MCS handles in some cold weather driving.

Magilla looks tres cool! Love the choco leather, thanks for that pic! I too have the creme, and brushed aluminum..really brightens up the dash, I think. Another chromie scuttle with white lens! .../must have! Thanks DJMcGill! :D

edit: Love the wheels too..wished I had those over stock!

The "electronic looking device" is a Magellan navigator on a Kuda Mount. I tried the windshield mount and the navigator was too high into my field of vision for safe driving. Now, as one can see in the picture, it is in a position where I can use it and it won't block my line of sight. Also the Kuda mount looks like it is part of the dash and it was easy to install after I found a thread explaining how to do it without pulling the dash apart.

I have been considering the possibilities of putting MAGILLA on the plates, but my "Scottish heart" needs convincing that it is worth the extra $50.

BTW, I like your screen name. My in-laws call each other Schatzy (mother-in-law is Austrian/German) and, with thier permission, we named our White Shepherd "Schatzy".

Understand that heart well - from my father's side of the family.

Have you posted a photo of your Schatzy on the "Dog Talk" thread yet? https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ad.php?t=44007

Is that Kuda mount attached with screws? I don't have the heart to attach anything permanently to my dash. I have a Garmin 60CSX and I have it with the hand strap looped through the ceiling toggle switch protector loops. It hangs down at the right level. I have my 12 cigarette lighter to USB adapter which I have my gps plugged into. I was thinking of the upgrade like your's but just not permanent.

The Kuda mount is not permanent. It is attached with a clip under the side of the speedo bezel and another under the dash top cover. I think there are also double backed tape pads to make it more secure (I did not use the tape). They offer a couple of mounts for the '07 and newer models. One is the dash mount and the other attaches to the passenger side of the console. you can check them out at: http://www.kudausa.com/kuda_mount_an...07-34-529.html . Also refer to https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ght=kuda+mount for some information on installing the mount. The bottom line is: One doesn't have to dismantle the dash to install the base. There are two tabs that can be 'reformed' enough to slip under the dash lip and speedo bezel. It took me about 5 minutes to put it in and it has shown no signs of movement.
I hope this helps you make your decision.
