light in sight

I am having a problem installing the light in sight. It keeps failing off. How wet do I need to get it? What is the best way to instal it?

Are you installing it with the smooth side to the glass or the ribbed side to the glass? The proper installation is smooth side to the glass and you can read the website name from the outside. It doesn't take much water and all air bubbles need to be pressed out.

Just like CHK says, and mine is working great! It is clinging with no problem at all. I like it a lot.

I just got this in the mail and have yet to put it on. Do any of you find that it's in the line of sight when you drive? I have my seat in its lowest position and yet only have about a couple inches of headroom. Is it distracting at all?

Mine is directly in front of me, right up next to the top seal of the windshield. It is not in my line of sight at all. In fact, I hardly notice it anymore except when I need it--and at those times I'm really glad I have it.

Check out the site with the photos: http://www.lightinsight.com/ I know I have posted on this before on another thread, but I am with Gil-galad, and have had mine right up next to the top seal (unlike the two inches or so below the seal that is shown in the website's first photo). I am considered "tall" for a woman @ 5'9" and prefer to keep my seat's height as low a possible. There is no way that placing the light in sight up there will get in my line of sight, but it works perfectly for those stop lights.

I have heard from a short friend that the light in site did not work for them, but perhaps they just were not placing it at the proper height?

Here's that other thread, which might be helpful:https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ighlight=sight

I have had the lightnsight on my last two vehicles and could not live without it! Nice to be able to see those stop lights without arching my neck under the mirror! My wife had her mini 03 windshield replaced and they removed the lightnsight. When I tried to put it back on it kept falling off and then I realized they had put some type of cleaning agent or something on the inside of the glass that resisted the sticking of the lightnsight. Cleaned it up with glass cleaner and it stuck just fine after that.

Lightspeed is on my Monday To Do List.
I need the Clubman back from the dealer first...
1) Window won't roll up and stay up
2) Lube the Club door mechanism

Yeah, if it's not clinging, then you either have (a) something on the windshield or (b) something on the lightinsight... I'd wipe both with alcohol, let dry, then wet and reapply.
