Sunroof - programming

hey guys,

does anyone know if it's possible (either by a setting I can do, or a change the dealer can do) to make a change to the sunroof...

when you turn the car off and remove the "key", the sunroof can continue to be operated for a few minutes UNLESS the drivers door has been opened.

i'd really like to remove the "UNLESS the drivers door has been opened"! I often open the door, then realise i've left the sunroof open, and the only way i can close it is to get the "key" back out, put it in the ignition and then close the roof.

unless there's an option i'm missing.. Ofcourse it would be really nice if you could press and hold the lock button the remote and for the roof to close, like it opens when you hold the open button!

cheers
Dave

If you have the Conv. Package you can jsut press and hold the button on the door handle and it will close any window or sunroof that is open.

Not sure if there is a way to close the windows or sunroof without doing what you do if you do not have the Conv Package.

Schatzy, now I have to go try that Conveinence Access Windows Roll Up thing tomorrow.
I remotely rolled the windows down today and impressed a Lexus owning passenger.

LadyG,
Lexus owners know Mini = Cruddy cars for the poor.

I put a 6'8'" friend in the back for an hour long drive.
According to him, he wasn't uncomfortable. He did sprawl out.

you can use the metal pull out key in remote to close the windows and sunroof from the outside. Just place the key in the door lock and turn clockwise and hold, in a couple of seconds the windows and sunroof will close, you just have to keep the key turned until there fully closed.

So here are the actions on the comfort access.

1. Press and hold unlock button down and windows/sunroof open
(same as my 2003 BMW)

2. Press and hold lock button - Nothing happens
(2003 BMW does close windows/sunroof)

3. using key turn to unlock and hold and windows/sunroof open
(same as my 2003 BMW)

4. turn key to lock and hold and windows/sunroof close
(same as my 2003 BMW)

5. press and hold comfort access button on door handle and windows/sunroof close.
(don't have this option on BMW)

So why can't they make this like my 2003 BMW which does all of this from the remote. it would make sense to do it all from the remote.
