Welcome to our new members. I'm out of town and it's been days since a drive in my mini let alone any mini The truck we rented just wont take turns like them. It's good to see we will have a nice sized group of pw's on the road to wave at.

Does anyone on here have the invisashield installed on their PW? If so, what are your thoughts? I wouldn't think fading would be much of an issue on PW.

I'm wondering of the invisashield helps much. I don't want to worry about repainting any of the bonnet, so I like the idea of protecting it, but not sure how rock damage would look with the invisashield on.

I'm also curious if anyone has bonnet (or sport) stripes with the invisashield. Are there any issues with wax, dirt, etc. becoming trapped under the edge?

Yes I have the clearbra and love it. I would never get a new car without it now. The edge of it is hardly noticeable but you can see it. The wife seems to see it much more than me but she didn't want it in the first place LOL. I have more than 2500 miles on the car and only 1 small chip just past the clearbra with out it I know it would be covered in chips. With all the sand they use up in the mountains of CO it was a must for me. No problems with waixing. No stripes yet but did see some on a car with clearbra and the owner said next time he would do the bra first and stripes on top.

we installed the 3m "invasable shield" on my wife's Lexus and it works as advertised, in fact the first thing I'm going to do is have it installed on my MCC when it arrives and then of course window tinting. We live in the Phx area and its almost mandatory.

Just got the news - Production started 7/8

Hi,

Just found out my PW Clubman started production 7/8 and will be done 7/11 - week 28.

So, please add me sans wings

BTW, the next step is Awaiting Transport. Any insight into how to tell when it will be delivered? I've seen a few threads on the ships and procedures. So, not that I'm closer to shipment, I'll get more into that. I don't know that these pertain to type R55s, but I'd expect they do.

Cheers

Please count me in - as # 587. My Pepper White S Clubman has been with me for month now.

Waiting was tough - but worth it! What a fun car to own and drive, a real conversation piece whenever I park.

Hi all, long shot, but I saw my first Clubman today in Natick, MA on Speen Street, just caught the barn doors in my sideview mirrors, it was a PW/B. My HC/B comes in this weekend or next week at the dealer, so I could not post this observation on the Clubman spotting Clubman thread.

The PW/B looks sweet on the road!

First Post - Pepper White Roof?

Folks,

This is my first post so I apologize if this is a n00b post.

I happen to be at Downtown Mini and saw JoeP's beautiful MCS Clubman. Seeing his car made me an instant fan of Pepper White and the sport stripes. I must admit that silver is my favorite for scratch and low maintenance; however, my cars are all silver now [997 C4S/E90 335 (wifey's)/E46 M3 (modded to hell)] and I am bored.

Anyway, I am trying to decide what to color my roof/mirror caps - black or PW. The side trim will be black so that is easy. Second, I am going with the same sport stripes that JoeP went with - think the barn doors with the black sport stripes looked amazing. If I go with a PW roof then I can get black sport stripes across the top as well. Is this too much? Will it look like a monster truck ran over me? I am worried the black roof will show marks/swirl marks/bird poop etching et al.

What is a car guy to do?

hey 997 (Joe?),

There's a guy from Titusville that has a PW/PW clubman - pictures of it maybe in this thread. He (Robert) has made several nice mods to his Clubman, but you can look at it. I don't remember if it has sport stripes, but you can look at it and compare it to pics of mine.

Personally I love the contrast of the black roof to the pw body. I've always considered that apart of the draw to the car. Plus it is so much fun to drive, but that's another story....

Good luck and get one soon!

Joe

Hey Joe,

I did manage to find some picks with a PW roof and IMHO the black roof does two things: provides a continuation of the black from the bumper and side back pillars and provides the nice contrast up top. What would you think of white sport stripes on the black roof? Oh wait, that would not work because the stripes are regular white and not PW, correct? Looks like you already did your homework. At least I will get a different interior so they are not identical twins.

Thanks for the reply and once again, enjoy the car!

Joe

One other thing being in florida I had to tint the windows so the blacked out windows with the black roof played a part in the equation. Just something else to think about.

Also, I just went to the configurator and the sport stripes are either black or silver. If you wanted PW stripes I would imagine that you would have to go to a body shop to get that done. Someone in the Week 21 support group (I believe Jessy was going to get their MINI painted).

You were talking about not getting the sunroof - which will help with sport stripes (at least I think so). If you went PW/PW you won't deal with the sunroof. Just another thing to the equation.

Have a great day in sunny, muggy Orlando!

Joe

Hey Joe,

If you get a chance do a search on the username "robsreef" and check out his gallery. Robert has a PW/PW with sport stripes (just not on the roof). It maybe something you can use for comparison purposes!

Talk at ya later,
Joe

Welcome to the club, Gregg. Which dealer did you order from? 10-11 weeks isn't bad at all; a lot of people (esp on the West Coast) are waiting til November or December or even longer.

I'd like to join the club!... PW Clubman S with a black roof and HC leather interior appears to be on the Patriot and motoring across the Atlantic. The NAM forums (and especially all the great pictures posted to this thread) have been a big help while wrestling with what (and what not) to order.

happy trails!

on order

We ordered from Raodshow in Memphis TN.
no dealers in Huntsville Alabama, Nashville is closer but no cars to test drive.
Ordered Pepper White Clubmans S, Prem/Conv/bridgesport wheels, black roof, black sport stripe, automatic so my wife can drive it as well.
I think I've looked at every web site out there on the MINI and planning mods and additions already. Anyone added a non MINI CD changer? Where was it mounted?
Plan to add the shock tower reinforcements, and CAI. Then cat back system.

going to be a long wait but when it shows woo-hooo!
