pbeths, thanks for the encouragement. I looked at yours and it looks really nice. It's kind of hard for me to imagine (I guess I have no immagination!) even after seeing the pics. For some reason I can't seem to get beyond the racing stripes. I had originally wanted (and configurated on the configurator) a nightfire red MCC with silver roof and racing stripes, but my husband said that the Tuscan beige interior wouldn't look good with it. He really pushed me to get the PW and said that with the $500 I saved I could get comfort access. I love red and keep second guessing my decision to go with the white.

But no, I'm not getting the stripes. I'm getting a non-S (to save gas and help prevent me from getting tickets) and without the red color I'm going for elegance over sportyness. I've looked at Lady Godiva's Hot Chocolate and she's got some really great pics of her interior, but she doesn't have the wood MFSW or shifter ***.

And I'm getting a manual transmission, which I'm really psyched about! My two favorite cars both had manny trannys: my Saab and (my first manual) my 320i. Lord, I loved that Bimmer.

I also can't get over how long people have to wait for their cars. I'm going crazy thinking I have to wait till October, but I only ordered mine on July 26.

I saw 6 Minis today, but not one Clubman.

pbeths, I also wanted to ask you: did you get a wood MFSW? In your pics it looks like leather.

I had a problem when ordering mine that my MA's system automatically gave me a leather one, even though I had ordered wood. It took about four days to clear the problem up and get my wood MFSW on my order.

Hey Napria,

No, no wood on the steering wheel; that was one of the places where I chose to save money. I also did not get the arm rest and went with the one from Minspeed which is pretty awesome and took my husband about 15 minutes to install. It was also about $50 cheaper than the OEM one.

I hear you about the color; I was really looking closely at the Sparkling Silver/B combo, but, like your husband said, I did not think the Tuscan Beige would look quite as good with that combo and it was nice to save the $500 and reapply it elsewhere (for me it was the bluetooth/ipod). When I think about living without a metallic color or living without the ipod/bluetooth, I am really glad I went with the PW!! But, I really think it is a beautiful color combination and an all together different take on a Mini; it really is elegant. I like the contridiction as well, perhaps that is why I also went with the stripes.

I am very happy with the non-S as well. I came from a turbo Forester and I do miss the power, but, the Clubman has so many plusses going for it that it more than makes up for the power difference. And, if gas keeps going the way it has, we will be even happier not to have gone with the S in a few years. (My husband and I would not even test drive the S as we knew we got sucked right in to the turbo with the Forester...uh, no pun intended there.)

You will love the car and October will come soon enough!

The good news is that we will all fit in the corner booth at Denny's . . .

We put in our order for a PW/B/B Clubman S w/Premium - Bluetooth/USB - Rear Fog Lights - Sport Stripes - Leatherette. We ordered at SouthBay Mini with Amanda, I do not think we will go into production until Nov/Dec. It will be well worth the wait. Paying MSRP and waiting was better to me than 5k over MSRP and getting a 2009 maybe 30-60 days earlier.

I am now looking at Flat Black 17" rims maybe TDR Pro 1.2 or Konig Feather Lights.
Can not wait to become a real member Pepper White Club.

Tell Me About Your Interior

Hello,
Getting ready to order a 2009 PW/B with black bonnet stripes. Super excited. still trying to decide interior. Can y'all tell me what you have? Seems that redwood leather is not available in the 09's so I'm leaning toward:
ray cream/black leather leather cloth combo
white color line
piano black interior.

I'd love to see pix of interior if you have them.

Thank you so much!

just ordered mine today

i have butterflies in my stomach even though this will be my 3rd MC
things tend to go not so smoothly in terms of selling old vehicle vs picking up new

i went back to a non metallic paint because the metallic seems to scratch easier than non metallic of my first MC

ordered today over the phone with a credit card
09 MCC S PW/PW straight black racing stripes bonnet/hood/back.
black pillars. automatic trans/ cold weather/MFSW/parking asst/ auto air, rear fog, center armrest, anthracite headliner.
went with cloth seats cause i like the way it works better with heated seats.

MINI Sterling says week 40, end of Oct.

current ride 2006 MC-S hyperblue with white roof and wheels.
auto/CW pack/front and back fog, chrome exterior details & mirror
DSC/parking asst/MFSW/auto air

RIP 2003 MC yellow and white sweetie pie

Wing Me!

Hi Folks,

I received my Clubman on 8/8, after flying from Boston to Southampton (Long Island, NY - Not England) to pick her up.

I'm glad I had the NAV, because it was useful to get me to the ferry. Even though I was a few mins late for checkin, Astrid was so small, that I could be fit into the back of the boat over the objections of a few SUV owners, who didn't make it!

I drove from MA to CT again yesterday to visit family, all the while varying my speed and revs. I'm sure everyone said - "look at him, he speeds up, the slows down!"

So, I'll be needing wings then...and my first tank of gas too. At about 420 miles or so, that about 70% better gas mileage than my Montero Sport.

I'll post some pix in a few days. Happy Motoring!

Cheers

Do I have to have the car in possession first before becoming a member?

Ordered my pepper white '09 MC at the end of July. Recently found out it was assigned week 36 for production! Can't wait until it arrives!

OK, here are my stats: Pepper white w/ black roof, manual 6-speed, cruise with wood steering wheel, anthracite headliner, sunroof, fog lights, iPod/bluetooth, lojack alarm, sport seats.

Sorry, still new and figuring out the "lingo" and acronyms used on this board -- is there a MC thesaurus on this board for newbies like me??

Here's a picture of my new MCCs before tint and since I can't figure out how to post two or more at a time will follow with two more photos with the tint.
Just picked her up two days ago, and can't quit grinning.
Pepper white, convenience package, cold weather package, anthracite headliner, bonnet stripes, color line cream white and interior surface English oak, Mini HiFi sound system and of course a manual transmission.

Huge difference. I love the blacked out look on the PW/B combo. But I'm kinda partial to it!

How much tint?

Did you say how much tint you got? Mine was done in 35% tint (65% light blocked). This is as dark as I can get on a non-limo in Mass.

Do you have the self-dimming rear-view mirror? I have it, and I notice it works fine with the tint in the back. But I never had it without the tint, but I can tell its working when the approaching car's lights look a little green, and the surrounding road or foliage looks darker than when there's no cars behind me.

Cheers

No self dimming, so no issue there, the front side tint is as dark as allowed in AZ, sorry not sure what it is.
the back is actually not limo dark but one shade lighter, the installer told me at night with the limo tint it is really hard to see out of.
Lady Govia I know what u mean about the speed on my way home from the dealer the speedo was reading 90 so I backed off (a little, heh heh.)
