Only seen a few pics of my car from our solstice drive. Funny thing we had more classic mini's than clubmans. I was still the only one and we had 30 some cars on this ride. I still need/want to get some good ones.

 

That's so cool... I need like a Seattle MINI club or something (Im sure there is one if I looked) I think that would be so much fun to go on drives and things!!! And all the people being like damn that's a lot of mini coopers lol

I'm still impatiently waiting for my ship to dock at the port so my MINI can get the heck out of there!!!!!!!

It's such a great time to hit some twisties and talk about our cars. You should see the looks people give when a line of minis go by.

Next time you should try to take a pic of people standing there watching you drive by with their mouths open and the drool coming out

I always got lots of looks in the MCS and all the old people who don't know what it is!

Dutchess has been offloaded and to the VDC!! My dealer will have her in a few days (pretty sure according to what other MA's are telling people). I am now hoping to MAYBE pickup on the 5th...

You're going to beat me -- mine is still at sea. Due in Jersey City on Tuesday or Wednesday.

I can truly say "I know how you feel". Not many times has that statement been as true.

 

When I ordered my MCC (PW of course) on June 3rd was told the it would take "about 4 months, but oh happy day my MA just emailed me said it is set for production first week of July and it should be arriving around the end of August. NOW I'm excited!

 

Cute!! Looks like you need the liner for the backseat! I know I will... I have 4 cocker spaniels and they shed like crazy if I dont keep their fur short.

 

Yeah but only by a few days... My MA emailed me Saturday:
"The DCS, which is our tracking site shows your MINI is estimated to leave California on the 2nd. If things move on schedule your MINI should arrive around Friday."

So hopefully they can get everything installed so I can pick up Sunday or Monday (6th or 5th). I'm having the sport stripes installed and they have to send my car down the street for window tint but that should all go quickly (a day job I would think). So hopefully they will get the car detailed and processed on Friday, Stripes and Tint on Saturday and then Delivery on Sunday!!!! That would make me very happy!!!!!!

NJ -- I'm just glad I'm getting so close, not much more waiting to do... It should fly by as long as you keep your schedule packed! (That's what I've been doing anyways!)

 

CONGRATS!!! That's exciting!!! Now it gets tough.... better join a support group if you haven't all ready -- your gonna need it!

 

Ain't that the truth! I am now regularly visiting a site that shows where ships are on the open ocean.

A funny aside: my car is on the ship Courage. When I tell my wife I am looking for Courage, she has a field day with Yellow Brick Road and Cowardly Lion references.

BRG is too dark (no pun intended) for Elphie. In the near future there are going to be some mods (including green brake calipers) to show her "greenness"....

"Your MINI is here already! It just got off the truck. I just talked with the service department for scheduling; how does Thursday afternoon work for you?"

I'm so excited!!! These 3 days are going to take FOREVER!!!!
