How much did it cost you to get just the roof done? I was thinking of getting my roof painted.

Didn't even know if it was a hampton till I got there, the dealer website said Reefblue/Red roof. Took my chances and glad I did. Love the color, gotta get it tinted (live in South Florida) in the morning. Always wanted one of theses special edition minis, never thought I would stumble into one.
You are lucky. I had no intention of getting a clubman but wandered into the dealer the other day and saw it and fell in love with interior. It only has the standard hampton features so I called every dealer in Florida looking for one with mini-connect, etc. but you apparently beat me to it by about a week Even tho the one I purchased is lacking a few things that I would have ordered, I still love the car. (Although I'm having a hard time getting use to the automatic again.)

White Silver (Soho) Edition with R99 wheels

Had it about a month now. I'm continually surprised at the stares that I get from serious GT and sports car owners. Here in Dallas there are plenty of BMWs, MBs, Porsches as well as some Bentleys, Ferraris and Lambos. All of them take notice of my new car. It's a hard car to fly under the radar with.

Hahahaha, I know what you mean, lots of fine cars in the Metroplex. Where abouts in Dallas are you located?

Speaking of different wheels, I just had my Dunlops swapped over to a new set of Rota RB's. I love the classic Minilite style and they make the car look awesome. And a big shoutout to sooper_cooper is in order for the spacers and all the great info!

Naming the Clubman

My wife also wants me to name the MINI. I have never given any of my cars names, so I need to give it some thought. I am in Plano, but will be moving to Phoenix in August.

Here's a pix of the tail showing the unique (but traditional) White Silver Edition C-pillar color scheme.

Hey, I noticed you got yours from Sewell. I live less than 15 minutes from the dealer. Did you have a chance to go to the grand opening? It was awesome. They even had a KISS cover band performing that day!

ClubsterUK, did you have the roof repainted silver? Isn't a silver body/roof color available for the car in the UK when ordered? (I'm assuming you ordered your car) My car is painted the same way but none of the colors were done as aftermarket items.

We actually did not get invited. I guess since we had already ordered the MINI, they focused on prospective customers. The experience was good, so I forgave them.

Arizona vs. Texas heat

Yesterday when it crested at 101 degrees here in Dallas, I look at the NOAA weather website for both Dallas and Phoenix. Phoenix had 9% humidity while Dallas had 38%. I'm counting on that difference to level out the experience of both cities. At any rate, having lived in Texas all of my life, coping with the heat means moving from one air conditioned environment to the next all summer long. I expect that that's what Arizonans do as well.

Do you see many MINIs with tinting film applied to the sunroofs there in Arizona?
