I live in florida and i matched vinyl to the roof color and covered the glass with it. It makes a HUGE difference! Plus when the roof is closed its pretty stealth.

Yea I would take the heat over humidity any day! Yea 5% tint on sunroofs is common practice here, especially with the large panoramic sunroof on the MINI not having a solid cover. I have also seen people using the Zippie Shade. I had a hard time hunting down a MINI without a sunroof.

That's a great idea! About six years ago I had a moon roof explode on BMW 330i and I wish I would have had film on it to help contain the mess. BMW attributed the exploding glass to the 120 degree exterior heat and my A/C blowing on max cold inside. They fixed it under warranty and repainted my car.....Back on topic, here is a pic after I did my belt line.

What was your process for removing the chrome from the belt line? Or is it a replacement process?

cover it with black vinyl. High temp electrical tape is a very cheap way to do it. Ive used on both my minis to great results. I live in the florida heat and it holds up.

It's a vinyl belt line kit I got here :

It's an inexpensive, quick, easy mod.

Nice Photo! They really are cute aren't they?

There's not many cars you can say that about are there?

Here is my baby. The funny thing is my wife had no clue that Mini owners where in the habit of naming their vehicles. We got the car last week and out of nowhere, my wife said that the car was named Janice. No clue why, it just came to her. She has never named her car before, but this only took a short time. Instinct maybe?

To clarify, that is the 4 run flat tires that I had removed and replaced with Michelin Pilot A/S 215-45-17 after only 300 miles in the back of the Clubbie with plenty of room to spare. Also included is my other baby, Lilly the Pug

looks great! Points for the unusual color.
When i got my first pepper white MINI, believe it or not, I saw verrrrry few on the road. Much more popular these days.

The rarest color in the SF Bay Area, in my opinion, is the white silver. When I see it I sort of double-take. I saw the first 2011 WS clubman roll into SF MINI and I was pretty stunned by it. ALMOST enough to take it. But it was a non-S and I was placing my order for an S model, so.

Very nice! Love the RB and seriously considered getting them for my JCW but I wanted to avoid using spacers. In the end I picked up a set of JCW 18" R105s which I love... even though I have to use spacers anyway to clear the brakes.

Added Rocky Mountain Graphics bonnet stripes (silver) to my factory JCW Clubman last night . Will do the boot later this week. She is badly in need of new tires, a good wash, and additional Zaino treatment . All to come in the very near future .

Love the stripes. Fan of the red mirrors, got some on order myself.
