i just bought a greddy type s, had a hard time finding one since they dont make em anymore but i love the sound. im guessing you are referring to the factory dump valve(DV)? whats you trick, sounds interesting!
i want atomospheric, and a happy ecu!

I'd also be interested in how to keep the ECU happy with an atmospheric BOV.

You cant make the ecu happy with atmospheric dump right now unless you go to the euro ecu as they don't have a maf. You need to trick the computer into thinking that the stock DV is hooked up otherwise you will be a limp mode.

Specs on wheels are Ti Model RE 18"x8" w/ 40mm offset. Had to take off front spacers. Definitely gives a wider stance! The photos kind of hide the matching orange stripe in my beltline. My good friend Mark (OrangeCrush) is telling me to go with an orange roof, but I think I need to let this sink in for awhile first!

Whatcha think?

Lose the black c pillar. Back to black belt and you'll be sitting right. I really like you stirring the pot a lil with that combo! It can be done you just dont wanna be cheezy or take away from the car too much.

Thanks for all of the compliments!

I'm very surprised that I haven't had any "haters" since it is so unusual.

Just goes to show that you can get away with anything on a MINI!

I love the orange wheels and hot chocolate is one of my favorite MINI colors. Only now you can't sneak around town, everyone will know where you are.

i think it looks pretty good ... wheels and mirrors.

I would ditch the orange beltline however. It makes the car look cut in half from a distance. You're better off with an orange roof or roof rail stripe like the Laurel edition than the beltline orange. my 2 cents.

i should be able to keep the stock dv and have a atomospheric bov without going into limp mode, right?

Honestly the orange beltline makes it cheesy.

This is my opinion, but the aggressiveness of an accent color is inversely proportional to the amount of accent color needed.

Too much of a good thing is never a good thing (think of walking out of chinese after eating the WHOLE plate)! You car would look supurb with just the mirror caps and wheels (love the wheel choice btw). The pin stripping detail is nice, but the beltine tips the edge into cheesy mini/beetle owner realm.

If MY clubman were brown with badass safety cone orange wheels/mirrors, my next mods would be euro arches, a little bit cooler side scuttle w/ smoked lens, and I'd change the gas cap to a justacooper lid, or go with matte black to match the door handles. Finally Joeymod the headlights so you have only brown/awesome orange/black colors on the outside.

Got any interior shots?

Yes I believe so If i remember correctly the car was drivable with an atmospheric dump it just always had a code thrown...

The doorhandles, fuel cap, grill surround, and headlight rings are already HC body color. I had the S scuttles painted in the orange but it was too much. Also, I switched to the amber signals as I think they fit better than the factory clear ones. Possibly going to try Union Jack scuttles but use HC, Orange, & Polar Beige as the three colors - again just to try something different. The mirror caps may get the same treatment(!).

The beltline is two-toned: Upper & lower section in Polar Beige & center in Orange - It ties in the Polar Beige from the interior and pin stripes and the orange also ties in with the pin stripes and now the wheels and mirror caps. It looks much better in person than it does in the photos. It's a keeper for now.

Here's a couple of the interior:

Covered the armrest lid in Polar Beige leather and added HC shifter and e-brake handles & boots:

A little Polar Beige accent on the door pulls. I also have a small orange graphic on the secret compartment door.

And here's one more overall shot of the interior. Basic HC Lounge w/ Polar Beige Colorline and English Walnut trim, anthracite headliner, interior Chrome pkg.

And one more view of the rear showing a better view of the pin stripes:

HC taillight surrounds and bumper top WOULD like nice! Talk about a money pit!

I'd take off that rear tow hook. I took mine off the front of mine last wednesday to clean it off and on thursday while I was letting it dry, I rear-ended a van who got T-boned. Luckily I just have a long scratch the length of its bumper, but I hate to think what that tow hook would have done. Just a suggestion.

Our Clubbies were separated at birth! I'm definitely going with the front aero on mine. I really love how yours looks, but that would just add a little more UMPH

Love the Hot Chocolate and Orange.
I have been wanting to do something to my car (new MINI owner) and cannot decide what I should do. What other color combinations do they have?

Do you already have your car? If so, the combinations are only limited to your imagination and willingness to take a chance!
