MSRP for 2007 Cabrio?

This is the first time I've posted a message here but after reading a number of entries on the Mini Cooper S Cabrio I am so excited to soon be a part of the family!
I have a question....should I expect to pay MSRP for a 2007 Cabrio? The dealer is still adding the ridiculous "value added pricing" which i have gotten them to remove and the other things they have added are a Low Jack and Clearcoat which they have also agreed to remove. Since the car is no longer new on the market does anyone think that you could still negotiate on the sticker price or should I just be happy with that since I LOVE THE CAR.
Thanks for any responses to this.

You may be able to get some off MSRP on an '06 sitting in the dealer's lot . . . but I would expect to pay MSRP on an '07.
It may not be "new on the market" but it's not getting replaced until spring of '09. The coupes (which are just now being 'replaced' with the R56) were selling for MSRP until a few months ago.

Agreed....that's the way it is around here, too.

I was able to get cost +$500 CAD on my 06 MCC in January. I used a web site to look up the cost of the vehicle (carcostcanada.com) and presented this to the dealer and was able to negotiate down to cost +500.

I'm sure they get some sort of kickbacks from the 06s so the dealer surely made more than the $500 above cost they sold it for.

I paid MSRP for my 07 Cabrio last month. They wouldn't even throw in the floor mats

I paid MSRP on an '07; they did throw in the floor mats...

2006's were being offered at a discount.

Cheers,

MSRP for my '07, but did get rubber floor mats tossed in for free.
Managed the Aux. Gauges and wind deflector both for $495.

Pick her up in exactly 9 Hours

The wife and I just ordered a Vert. 07. Paid 500 over. They didnt much want to move. The next dealer was in Portland (we are in WA) so I paid it.

Loaded that sucker up. Unreal we are paying 40K for a mini!

40K?

Wow, we checked off almost every option on the sheet on our '06 S cabrio except for NAV and we got away for $31k which was list price. Of course, we didn't get any dealer installed accessories like stripes or clearguard either. I'm surprised to hear that there are still dealers charging over list for new MINIs.

Ahhh...Works!

Yes, if you got the JCW package, 41k sounds right.
