When the brits wrote that bit of the manual, I'll bet they probably didnt think too many people were going to be going topless at -12°C. I wonder what the Mercedes manual says about operating temperatures on the models with the cool airscarf feature.

If memory serves, the whole point of the original 'how cold' thread was strictly for braggin' rights. Since there's snow this morning that ugly black thingie will remain engaged.

This whole week has been Alaskan for us and we're just a few miles North of sunny Oklahoma. Temperatures in the 'teens (F) all week and prognosticated for further torment as such well in to next week. Just checked, currently 8°F.
My daughter is a student at military college in Ontario. Currently 1°F, "Feels like" -11F there. Thats one of the warmer more southerly bits of Canada too. There's a reason I left for South Carolina!
