I broke the driver's side top frame guide on my 2005 Cooper S convertible some time ago, and I've tried to fix it a couple of times. The plastic is in rough enough shape at this point that I decided to bite the bullet and just order a new set.
The new frame guides are similar, but a little different than the old set. There's a metal peg protruding from the hook, and the washers around the hook are about 1mm wider than my original one. Was there a design update to this part, or did I get the wrong frame guide? I can't quite get the hook to fit into the roof, and I wanted to ask before I forced something, (That extra millimeter really makes a difference!)
I've attached a picture of the two guides. The new one is on the left, and my old one is on the right.
