Cabrio Talk first thread

Just wanted to post the first thread on this topic. Have an 05 Cool Blue Cabrio S and is eleven months old today. No problems at all and just as satisfying as the S2000 that I traded in.

Hey! Great new forum! I know that Donna of Donna/Mike also sold her S2000 and got a Cabrio! Very cool!

Hooray for open motoring!

It's nice to finally have a convertible-specific forum.

Not to get this off to a bad foot ....But I could request a forum for Auto tranny owners. I would call it the "button pushers" (for the MCSa paddle shifters).

Speaking as a Cabrio owner, I think it's a great idea to have a specific forum for it. There are many Cabrio specific questions & issues and now we have a place to share them Thanks!

Hooray for cabrio owners! I have an 05 Hyper Blue MCS Cabrio. I got in 14 months ago and I'm still loving it. My wife liked it so much she got an 06 Royal Grey MC with CVT. She didn't get the cabrio because we already have one and she is going to use it for her daily driver. We traded in her SUV for the MINI. You can check out some pics of both of our cars in my gallery.

I'm so happy we have a cabrio thread. I admit to dippiing into the Cabrio thread on Mini2 for topless chatter.

This is great timing as it seems there are more and more convertibles on the road. On our Norcal-Redwood Empire run last weekend, we had at least 10% topless cars (including a topless classic!), which is small but growing percentage.

Now whoever wants to start the "new roof" thread will really get this party started! (I'm waiting for my parts to come in, on surprisingly little wear.)

Nearly always open,
Teri

It's nice that us open motorers finally got our place in the sun.

I believe there is an old 80s song called "Warm Leatherette" that may be appropriate here!

V70R - I believe the Owner's Manual says something about the picture doesn't count if the top is up.

And MINIMAC2005 - fer gawd's sake - that's why they make a HEATER!

(Glad we got our own forum here.)

V70R: is that two baby seats in the back? Rock on! You would not beleive the amount of grief I get from people who insist that I won't be able to put kids in my cabrio. When I have kids, that is.

I saw a cabrio out the other night in Boston with the top down - looked down to check the temp, and it was 31 degrees! Must have been a new owner.
