Are you on the Marble Highway or the Courage? My wife's CR MCSc JCW w/Aero Kit is on the MH, it left a day after the C and will be here 9 days before the C...(2nd vs 11th).. the wait is killing her (thus me too).

MJO MINI is looking forward to AMVIV 3 in March! Hope the weather is great for top down driving. This is our first Mini and first Cabriolet and we are in topless heaven. Wow! What a car.

V70R love the car seats but we have 5 kids and decided it would be better to have them walk (more like run) along side! MORE ROOM FOR US!

Sounds cool! Post pics when you can.

Don't think I've EVER seen a white convertible, much less with the aerokit. Don't forget the fog light area black out panels!

Just looking through the forums and saw the cabrio's - good to know that I can come here for advice and tips.

Just brought Mr Sun home on january 4, 2006 and have finished the breakin period. All the miles except 226 were done with the top down. On the advice of "Sunnie" I bought the very expensive air deflector - glad I did - it allows me to motor topless with temps down to around 40 degrees. Of course the wife would prefer the top up but....

Some day I'll get pictures of Mr Sun to share.

I haven't been paying attention. Can't believe I missed this thread. Hello, everyone. I've had my Cabrio since Aug 05 and have done a little of everything with it. Mods gallore and just put her in the shop for total sound system update, AVIC-n2, amps, subs, speakers, lights, LCD's ect. Will post pix as the progress continues.

Someone asked about lowering springs...yes, HSport along with Koni shocks, HSport lower camber links. But it took it too low. Ordered 1/2" plates to raise it up just a little. The tires were hitting the wheel arch liners on the least little bump. I had this same set up on my MCS with no problem; must be the extra weight of the Cabrio.

Glad to have this thread so we Cabrio freaks can get it together.

Vics44, I noticed your "location" says Florida. We are hoping to get there some day. Do you ever take the MINI to the beach? What about hail storm s and hurricaines? Any problems with that in Florida?
I like the CHILLI Red MCS cabrio you have. Nice Photo!

Welcome! You will have to start a thread introducing your newest member of the family..with lots of pictures. I have found that NAMers are MORE than willing to answer as many questions as you can come up with...that is one thing I love about this forum!

Enjoy your new baby!

Decided to take the plunge today and order a 2008 MCSc to replace my 2003 MC. While my MC has been good to me (except the time it caught on fire...) it has seen better days and perhaps now is the time to trade her in before something rather nasty (i.e. expensive) happens to her.

Ordered the new color coming out (Oct 1st '08) "white silver" with the sidewalk package, cold package, rally lights, and a few other assorted items. Was quoted a time frame of 6-8 weeks until delivery (Otto's Mini in West Chester, PA). Waited 6 months to get my '03 MC so this will seem like nothing.

Just hope that I can motor around a little with the top down before it starts snowing in my area .

Hamster:

Just drive to I-95....hit the south side and keep driving till you hit Key West. (With top down of course) "Cab" drivers should all live in Florida

Congrats, my wife has an 06 and we love it. We do live in FL so we get to use it more often than not (sorry to rub it in)... With the cool package the heated seats are a godsend! Here is my experience:
-Without the windscreen I can handle temperatures down into the low 60s wearing a sweatshirt and pants having the heat and bunwarmers on.
-with the windscreen you can drop that temp into the high 50's..
-add a jacket and a hat and you are good to roughly 40 degrees.

Now there is a guy who did the Northermost Run (somewher close to the pole) with the top down- so who knows how low YOU can go!

We love our cabrio and I know you will as well. You live in a great area and the spring and fall should be great and the summers even better. Here in FL we run into the ungodlyhotbakemybuttontotheseatwithhumiditytomelts kin weather in the summer which allows for topless driving in the morning and evening/night but plan on using the AC at a stoplight driving.

We love her car and have put 34K on it in the first year
