That's how it stayed nice, and keep it in the family.

It would be great if there was a forum thread to show the graphics that people have done. I am looking to add some graphics to my new-to-me R52 and would like to see what others have done for ideas.

Gum,
Cabrio is short for Cabriolet which in France in the 1700s was a small carage with a single horse and a folding top. Sounds like a modern MINI convertible to me.
The first thing to check is that the package shelf in the trunk is lowered and hitting the sensor. Next are the locks for the top in the trunk fully engaged and hitting the sensors. Let us know if this helps and others can add more complex things to check.
Good luck.

About to get mine!!
Shopping around for 05-08 MCSCs. I think I have found it! Chili Red. Heading up there in T-minus 4 1/2 days!! Hope all is good and I can bring it home. Not sure what name, but it will come to me. Now to convince my hubby that my 03 JCW (Frost1e) needs to stay with me as well!

Hi, new to the board and new to MINI. Just bought my buddy's 2007 Sidewalk S (140,000 miles) for fun driving around my town, occasional commuting to my office (6 miles) and, as a side benefit, teaching my boys how to drive a manual transmission. A fun buy for $2000. Everything works, and interior/tires/clutch/brakes are good. Only negative is the cable on right side of convertible top doesn't work, so when putting the top down, you have to stick a screwdriver to release the hatch. But then it folds fine.
Given the fact that I don't have much $$ into the purchase, I will look for any good suggested upgrades. I assume the top fix is doable, but will find out what is involved.
