R52 - does it really have a diversity antenna module

Hi,

This forum is a great resource.

i have a question about R52 convertible really having a diversity antenna module.

Why? My Harman Kardon head unit is newly exhibiting very poor FM radio reception; only a few stations and lots of static. CD and iPod play fine. Antenna is clean and screwed in; maybe a bad antenna diversity module?

Searches on this site and other places on the internet have information about Hardtop antennas and rear window heater wire diversity with module in the boot. Vague information about convertibles with their antenna above the front windshield.

Before I start digging into the panels and wiring, is there really a diversity module in the convertibles? If so, where is it?

Thank you

I had an antenna base on my R52 gets salt under it and rust out. I had to replace the unit. It corroded out the unit.

It tend to get water and gunk under the seal on the R52 since its up front on the car.
