Hood scoop removal R52

Trying to remove the scoop. There are two phillips screws and two studs with nuts. No issue with all but one of the studs appears to be turning in place when I turn the socket. Any suggestions on how to remove?

Not an issue of how. My issue one of the captive fasteners is spinning so I can't get the nut off.

Try to pinch the thread end with vice gips and loosen nut best you can. You will come to a point to where you rub up against the vice grip jaws. At that point you should have enough to use a dremmel and cut off the nut/last part of the threaded bolt. New hardware will be needed to re-install and will probably have to use some sort of epoxy on new hardware head.

Did the pinch and can't get enough bite. It doesn't help that there appears to be thread locker of the threads. I can barely get my finger behind it with the other three fasteners removed. Not enough room to get any tools on it. Not enough threads to try and double nut it.

Sounds like then it's time for Dremel tool and cutting wheel.
When you get new hardware, the loc-tite is already on new threads, I would remove it.
Bit over kill for this part...

Dang, that stinks. Dremel and cut. Be careful not to damage the scoop:

All of the photos I have seen show four of those screws. Mine has two and two phillips heads. There must be two more after you remove the air deflector.

I have a cordless dremel fein tool. I'll have to check and which one gives better access.

I think I'm going to try and take the Dremel and cut a slot in the bolt for a screwdriver and see if the will hold it while turn the wrench. Not sure there's enough meat on the the screw to do so.
