Looking to buy

I am looking at a 2007 Mini Convertible. Everything looks fine and seems to work great. My only question is, and the dealer does not know, how do you change the miles per hour on the tach to show miles per gallon, or do they do that? My 2003 had a button on the steering wheel that would toggle the computer to show different readings.
Thanks

Did you look on side of the turn indicator stalk?

Displays in tachometer
Press the button in the turn indicator lever
repeatedly to call up various items of information.
The following items of information are displayed
in the order listed:
> Cruising range
> Average fuel consumption
> Current fuel consumption
> Average speed
> Current vehicle speed
> MINI Convertible: always Open Timer

Very good thanks for the info. Now you mention it, I think that is where it was on my 2003 S. Heck, I guess I am getting old and forgetful. Thanks so much.

On your 2003 it was on top of the stalk. On the 2007 it is on the side.

OK. That brings up another question. On the right side stalk what is the little yellow thing on the end? Looks almost like a light, however I never did get it to come on, which maybe is a good thing?

Will do, hope to make the decision in the morning. We had a 2002 and a 2003, then got a wild hair and traded both off. We have missed them ever since, so I think it is time to get back into motoring the way it was meant to be.

Glad to say I have been driving a Mini that last few days. Very glad we purchased it and we missed our Mini Coopers. Thanks for the help. Found more bells and whistles and got them to work.

The little yellow thing on the end is the indicator light to let you know the windscreen fluid is low.

Ya kno, I envy you lol. I've been searching for an R52 and haven't had much luck. As much as I love my Clubbie, it seems like a lot of people hold on to these things! But, congrats! Post some pics!!

R52 2007 MINI Convertible Stalks should look like this:

Left stalk with computer button at top.

Like they said above the yellow nose on the other side stalk is the indicator for the washer fluid.

You can see it on this side near the steering column.

Post pics, would like to see the convertible.
